ePosters – Better than ever!

This year we are going completely electronic with the poster presentations. All poster presenters should have received an email with the link to the ePoster submission site and login credentials. The format of the session is as follows:

There will be a total of twenty 55 inch High Definition (1920 x 1080) monitors on which the posters will be displayed. At the specified presentation time slot, presenters will stand at the designated monitor and give their ten minute presentation, followed by a five-minute question and answer period.

Below are some tips as you prepare your ePoster presentation:

 Make sure your fonts are big enough for people to read.  Pictures should be between 150 dpi and 300 dpi. Resolutions lower than 150 dpi make your images look pixelated or blocky, any resolution above 300 dpi will make your file bigger without really improving the overall quality.  For readability, use dark-colored text printed on a white or pastel background. Yellow and Dark Blue background is not recommended for poster font color and backgrounds.  For recommended video formats we suggest the following .MPEG4, .AVI, .WMV, .FLV and .MOV. We also support 3GP Video/Audio, AVCHD (Advanced High Definition), AVI (Audio Video Interlaced), DivX Video Format, MPEG-4 Video File (H.264/AAC content), FLV ( Format), Media Container, MOV (Apple Quick Time Movie), Moving Picture Experts Group (v1), Moving Picture Experts Group (v1 or v2), MPEG (Motion Picture Experts Group), MPEG (Motion Picture Experts Group v4), video format, SWF (Flash Movie Format), Generic Video File, VOB (Video Object), On2 TrueMotion VP3, TrueMotion VP6, TrueMotion VP7, WebM Open Media Format, WMV (), Video Format  Animated PowerPoint or Open Document Format presentations are not supported and only the initial transition will be viewable after the poster has been processed.  Please do not embed Word documents, Excel charts & tables, or Visio drawings into your PowerPoint. These objects look correct on your computer screen, but they will not be uploaded and linked correctly in your poster submission. Instead, convert them to images (, png, etc.) before adding them to your poster. This will ensure all content is correctly processed for your poster submission

o Content from Word can be pasted into PowerPoint text boxes. o Excel charts can be printed to PDF then saved out from Adobe® Acrobat® as an image or you may import/paste into Adobe® Photoshop to make an image of the chart. o Visio drawings can be saved in many different formats using File | Save As.

Note: Make sure your graphics are embedded rather than linked; linked graphics will be missing when the poster is uploaded and appear missing when processed. Just uncheck the "Link to file" (PowerPoint) box when using the Insert | Picture | From File menu. If you copy and paste you images into PowerPoint they will always be embedded. More detailed instructions can be found on the eposter submission site. The deadline to upload your ePoster is Thursday April 23, 2015!
