Non-Profit The Palyul Retreat Center Retreat Palyul The Liberation is in the Palm of Your Hand 2011 Palyul Summer Retreat Program Retreat Center Founder: His Holiness Drupwang Pema Norbu Rinpoche The Palyul Retreat Center was inaugurated in 1998 by the 11th Dharma Seat-holder of the Palyul Monastery in Tibet and holder of the Nam Chö Lineage, His Holiness Pema Norbu Rinpoche (pictured on cover). For the past fourteen years, students from around the world have come to the center to experience retreat according to traditions, just as originally revealed by Tertön Migyur Dorje in the 16th century. The retreat consists of seven month-long stages of teachings and instructions, followed by practice. Students start with the foundation practices (“Ngöndro”), proceed in the second year to Inner Heat Yoga (“Tsa Lung Tummo”) and in the third begin profound practices of Dzogchen. The program is one of the most complete series of teachings and guided prac- tices for generating wisdom and compassion to be given outside of Tibet and India. Lo- cated on sprawling farmland in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, the retreat center property is spacious and quiet, a perfect respite from the noise and busyness of modern life. Students have commented that the experience is “magical.” We hope you can join us. ⃝ Support our Center!
