These contests have been popular and greatly enjoyed by those who played in them. Like last time, we are offering three flights of both knockout and pair events. We have also expanded to include additional pairs events, also with three flights, lasting two days and three days. We hope that our members will continue to find these tournaments a source of education and fun. Announces Additional Investors October 1, 2007 Bridge Base Online, Ltd. today announced a change in the ownership structure of the company with the addition of three new investors: Bill Gates of Medina, Washington; and Sharon Osberg and David Smith of Tiburon, California. They join Fred Gitelman and Uday Ivatury, who both remain as significant investors. “I am extremely pleased to announce the additions of Bill, Sharon and David,” said President Fred Gitelman who remains the company’s largest shareholder. “Their experience, knowledge, and wisdom will help ensure that we make the best possible decisions for the future of our site. All three of our new partners are longtime BBO members, have executive management backgrounds, and are avid bridge players. It was a hugely popular win as Lazard and Bramley were surrounded by well-wishers. “For an old guy, you do okay,” said a smiling Bob Hamman as he gave Lazard a big hug. “Well done,” said Zia who also had a big smile. For Lazard, this victory marked six decades of win- ning national events. His first: the Spingold in 1958. The The winners: front, P.O. Sundelin, Bobby Wolff and Dan Morse; rear, Zeke Jabbour, Mike Levine and Arnie Fisher. Blue Ribbon Pairs is his 12th North American champion- ship.
