The Assistant Director of Central Survey Office, Chepauk, Chennai and the Thasildar Mambalam-Guindy Taluk office were directed to bring the original records relating to the Arulmighu Vengeeshwarar Azhagar Perumal & Nagathamman Devasthanam Temple on 09.01.2012 to the Commission. Thiru K. Kuppan, Asst. Director (Drawing), Thiru. Ravivarman, Head Draftsman, Central Survey Office, Chepauk, Chennai-5, Thiru. Madanaswamy, Thasildar and Thiru S. Parthasarathy, Head Quarters Deputy Thasildar Mambalam-Guindy Taluk Office have attended today’s (09.01.2012) enquiry. The Assistant Director of Central Survey Office had produced the the documents relating to the Town Survey Land Records, unit of Madras District. Perusal of the records showed that corrections have been carried out in red ink in survey numbers of 37/1 part and several other parts allegedly as per the orders of D.D.S.L.R_C2.6837/75. The signatures relate to 1967 and 1976. The authorities informed that the the original records as per which the corrections were made could be in the collecotrate of Chennai. Hence, the Assistant Director of Central Survey office is hereby directed to get the original record from the Collectorate, Chennai bearing the file No. DDSLR_C2.6837/75. Collector, Chennai should render all assistance to the Assistant Director of Central Survey Officer in this matter. The original record should be submitted before the Commission on 25.01.2012 @11.A.M. The Thasildar, Guindy- Mambalam Taluk Office has no further role to play in his matter and hece his presence is dispensed with. In this case the petitioner has represented that as per the orders of the Information Commission dated 27.3.08, the Tahsildar / Public Information Officer, Mambalam Guindy Taluk Office has not supplied copies of the documents for patta transfer, list of documents handed over to the Government Advocate and information about the rent. The PIO informed the Commission that the case is over and the connected records have been handed over to CB CID Police. If the records belong to the Taluk Office, there should not be any difficulty to collect the records from CB CID and supply the information to the petitioner. That apart, the orders of the Commission has not been carried out by the Mambalam Guindy Taluk Office as pointed out by the petitioner. The Public Authority is therefore directed to carry out the directions within one week from the date of receipt of this order and send a compliance report to the Commission duly obtaining the acknowledgement of the petitioner for receipt of information. The Public Authority is directed to show cause within 15 days from the date of receipt of this order as to why the maximum penalty prescribed under the Act should not be imposed on the concerned for disobedience of orders of the Commission.
