An enchanting tour visiting the wild West of where 'The Quite Man' (John Ford) was filmed, you will be treated to unrivalled scenery of Connemara, including the Alcock and Brown memorial site, country village of Leenane, and the dominating Twelve Bens. To see the hidden Ireland off the main tourist track this tour is ideal with the first stop at Ross Errily Friary- a hidden but atmospheric 14th century monastery before entering Cong Village where you have time to explore Cong Woods to see Ashford Castle or stroll the town famous for being the location for that 1950s classic movie, 'The Quiet Man'- or simply have a coffee on the edge of Lough Corrib- the largest lake in the .

Entering Connemara on the Lough Nafooey route allows you to see the stark beauty of the hidden valley of Connemara before arriving at the Atlantic Ocean.

The tour then continues to Kylemore Abbey for lunch and more sightseeing. Set in the dramatic Connemara landscape of mountains and lakes, Kylemore is an iconic attraction, famous around the world. From its beginnings as a romantic gift in the 1860s to becoming home to the Benedictine Nuns in 1920, Kylemore is steeped in history and tales of tragedy, romance, royal visits, spirituality and education. The Benedictine community welcome visitors to experience the Victorian atmosphere of the restored rooms of the abbey and gothic church explore the magical Victorian Walled Garden, nature trails and woodland walks and much more.

Leaving Kylemore in late afternoon we drive through the Inagh Valley, Maam Cross & and complete the circuit of Lough Corrib before arriving home to City after experiencing the green farmland of rural Ireland.
