Just like wine, natural mineral waters have their own „terroir‟, a French word that means that each place on earth has its own signature taste. S.Pellegrino is a fine quality natural mineral water that flows from natural springs in Val Brembana in the San Pellegrino Terme area, at the foothills of the It alian Alps near Bergamo (Lombardy). S.Pellegrino surfaces as perfectly sparkling and naturally enriched with mineral salts. The goal was to create a beautiful and elegant gin that stood its ground to become perfectly balanced and that's how Broken Spectre Gin For Tonic was born. We recommend serving on ice with any Fever Tree tonic or martini. BROCKEN SPECTRE ‘Summer Gin’ Tasmania, Australia 20 The Tasmanian Summer Gin is infused with locally grown saffron post distillation, giving the liquid and golden hue and allowing the full rich flavor of the spice to create a distinct powerful spirit. We recommend serving on ice with Fever Tree Light Tonic or Martini. FOUR PILLARS ‘Shiraz Gin’ Vic, Australia 18 Pine Forrest notes, white pepper and spices, and the gin is beautifully balanced with a delicious Sweetness and nice tannins to finish. Nice with fresh lemon and a quality tonic. HUSK DISTILLERS ‘Ink Gin’ Tweed Valley, NSW 18 Bright blue and indigo hues changing to pink when mixed with natural acidity including tonic water, lemon and lime. The nose is shows fragrant citrus followed by fresh pine, coriander, juniper and sweet orange. The taste begins from fresh lemon myrtle then leads onto subtle pepper berry and citrus notes We recommend serving on ice with Fever Tree Mediterranean Tonic. HARTSHORN ‘Sheep Whey Gin’ Tasmania, Australia 21 This distillery is a new Tasmanian micro distillery making boutique batches of gin from their own sheep whey. They are the first in the world to create this unique product. Hartshorn use only Australian native botanicals (plus juniper). 3 of them never used before in any other gin. We recommend serving on ice with Fever Tree Indian Tonic. MALFY ‘Con Limone Gin’ Italy 18 Malfy used a selection of coastal grown Italian lemons-some from Amalfi and some from Sicily to give the gin a fresh zesty aroma. Using Italian juniper and five other botanical including coriander, angelica and cassia bark to give the gin a delicious and refreshing bite. We recommend serving with Fever Tree Mediterranean Tonic or Martini. NEVER NEVER ‘Juniper Freak Gin’ South Australia 21 2017 Limited batch release. The Juniper Freak is a celebration of Juniper. Its an oiled-up beast of a gin. Wonderfully intense, aromatic, flavoursome gin. Fragrant pine and earthy angelica with a touch of pepper berry spice. Incredibly long finish, with resinous juniper oils coating the palate and pepper berry developing late. We recommend serving on the rocks with Fever Tree Indian tonic or martini. NOSFERATU ‘Blood Orange Gin’ Australia 18 A delicious viscous gin with a noticeable orange tang, spice, vanilla and just a hint of bitterness. We recommend serving on the rocks or a great substitute for the standard Negroni. Oberndorfer Str. 2 · D-78628 Rottweil Tel. 0741 / 1 72 06 · Fax 0741 / 1 72 07 [email protected] The Right Bank’s Quiet Champion www.bacchus-vinothek.com Christian Moueix…

  • RVF-China-Collectible-California
Collectible California Wine Classification Opinions about wine in recent decades were often dictated by a relatively small coterie of powerful wine critics. In recent years, however, has become increasingly apparent that the era of the critic as king-maker is over, and the importance of the numerical ratings that they doled out has dwindled. Of course, wine lovers will inevitably still search for guidance when seeking out new wines, and this article proposes a new approach for classifying the collectible wines of California. From ancient Roman distinctions between types of Falernian to the Cistercian monks classification of the vineyards of Burgundy in the 12th Century, to the Marquis de Pombals rakig of the vineyards of Port vineyards in 1756, wine classifications are far from new. What is new here is the use of the prices of the auction market to create a classification for collectible California wine. The advantage of this approach is that it uses the objective basis of actual sales results rather than the subjective rating by a critic to judge the wines. In essence, it reverts back to the basis of the 1855 classification of Bordeaux wines in that it accepts the market valuation of a wine as a measure, if not of quality, then of success. To prepare the classification that follows, we averaged the average price1 of all sales at auction for the vintages 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010, researching a number of wines including wines produced in all regions and created from all grape varietals from California. In truth, few if any from other states would qualify.

Wine List Featured Wines By the glass Riesling Kung Fu Girl 2015 Glass $6.50 This is an über-aromatic wine, with appealing notes of white peach, jasmine, honeysuckle and lime. Its taste is pure, focused and mouthwatering. It is lean in style, drinking off dry but balanced by racy acidity that stretches out the finish. Pinot Gris Acrobat 2014 Glass $6.50 A youthful wine with a delicate entrance that rounds on the mid-palate and a refreshing acidity that carries through the finish. Take in the bright citrus and honeysuckle notes complemented by green apple and a lingering minerality. Chardonnay William Hill Estate 2014 Glass $6.50 Our William Hill Estate North Coast Chardonnay offers aromas and flavors of ripe tree fruit, underscored by hints of brown spice, citrus and tropical fruit. Hailing mostly from Sonoma and Solano, with a touch of fruit from Mendocino, this well-integrated wine has excellent acidity and a creamy mouthfeel.
