We must take into account that the population demographics of the region is largely dependent on diversity and state of resources of the area and their involvement into the economic sphere, however, it is obvious that the state of the economy is also a key factor in ensuring the sustainability of ecosystems and geo-systems of the river basin. The river Klyazma basin area has a long historical path of development and transformation of natural systems into natural and man-made landscape complexes.
