Richard Lightstone, C.A.S RICHARD LIGHTSTONE, C.A.S. Production Sound Mixer Member, IATSE 695 & 479 Richard Lightstone began his career mixing in Montreal, Canada. Receiving four Genie Nominations from the Academy of Canadian Cinema for Why Shoot The Teacher, The Third Walker, Meatballs and Draw, Richard relocated to Los Angeles in 1983. Richard enjoys going back and forth between Features and Television and keeping up with the latest advances in sound technology. Richard served as the President of the Cinema Audio Society (2003 - 2006) after nineteen years on the board of directors. Richard is a board member of IATSE Local 695 and co-editor of the 695 Quarterly magazine. Mr. Lightstone has dual citizenship; USA and Canada. As a member of both Locals 695 and 479, Richard is able to work Los Angeles and Atlanta local. Of course, that was the aim of his magisterial scholarly work, and while unquestionably impressive, his tome turned out to be by no means the last word on the topic.
