Anyone is welcome to become an enquirer, as these people did, without any commitment until we are all certain it is the right thing to do. 6 Cassington Women’s Institute We were welcomed by president Jane Cook, she also welcomed new members and visitors to our meeting. The apologies were given and Margaret Partridge read the record of our December meeting. We discussed ways we might attract new members and we were asked to think of ways we might try to do this by next meeting. We are a friendly group of women and for our subscription we get a speakers at our meetings and a magazine from the National Federation, 10 times in the year delivered by the postman, and an Oxfordshire federation magazine each month too, both keep us up to date with all the W.I. news and outing etc. very good value for money, so ladies we would welcome you to any of our meetings for a small charge if you find a speaker listed you would like to hear. Jane introduced speaker Jean Bailey who with her husband Colin told us about their trip tp Antarctica and showed us some of her excellent photos they were there for Christmas and New Year period and experienced very short nights 2 hours and visited Falkland Islands, South Georgia as well.
