The first choice on this edition's list of coupes is Ford's sporty Mustang V-6. Ford's affordable performance coupe starts with an MSRP of $22,995, but its national market average is $2,812 lower at $20,183; that’s a potential savings of as much as 12.2% off the suggested MSRP of the Ford's popular pony car. Put down 20 percent, and your monthly payments are slightly less than $300.

If you're looking for American luxury, consider the Cadillac CTS: Currently priced at a national market average of $35,354 and bearing a monthly payment of about $500, two-door shoppers can find a potential savings of 11.2 percent — or up to a whopping $4,446 — less than the $39,800 MSRP of Cadillac's luxury coupe.

The sporty luxe Infiniti G37 Coupe’s potential 9.7 percent discount translates to a potential $4,005 savings — bringing the national market average price of Infiniti's luxury coupe down from an MSRP of $41,305 down to $37,300 — or about $536 per month after a 20% down payment.

The muscular Dodge Challenger comes in fourth place on this list with a national market average price of $24,850 and a potential discount of 8.9 percent, or $2,440 off the $27,290 MSRP of Dodge’s retro coupe. Monthly payments are just about $357 after a 20 percent down payment.

In fifth place is the Mercedes-Benz E- Class, sporting a national market average price of $47,547 after a potential discount of 8.6 percent, or $4,478 off the $52,025 MSRP of this super-large luxury choice from Mercedes-Benz. Surprising fuel economy of 20 miles per gallon city and 28 miles per gallon highway keeps the Mercedes competitive with smaller cars on this list.

The Nissan Altima boasts the highest fuel economy among the coupes on this list with a highway fuel economy of 32 miles per gallon. It's also along the most affordable coupes in this edition, thanks to a potential 7.6 percent discount. Subtract its $1,975 savings from its $26,020 MSRP, and you could drive away in Nissan's sporty coupe for as little as $24,045 or about $346 monthly.
