The New Audio Insights Reaching the Spotify Listener in Belgium The New Audio Insights Reaching the Spotify Listener in Belgium We recently surveyed 2.027 music listeners in Belgium aged 16-64 and found that Spotify is in a unique position to reach audience segments that are not listening to commercial radio. Get to know Spotify’s Free audience in Belgium. Spotify Free and Radio listeners have a Spotify Brand Awareness in similar gender breakdown, but Spotify Belgium is at an all time high of 76% overall. Free skews significantly more Milennial. This is a 12% growth compared to the previous TNS survey back in 2017.     CIM-radiocijfers: aantal luisteraars en luisterduur nemen toe, digitalisering stijgt Vandaag publiceerde het Centrum voor Informatie over de Media (CIM) de nieuwste luistercijfers voor de Belgische radiomarkt tot en met februari 2021. Hier zijn de belangrijkste inzichten. Radio: meer connectie met luisteraars De CIM-cijfers tonen aan dat 92,4% van de Vlamingen wekelijks naar radio luisteren. Rudi Janssens, Chief Commercial Officer Var: “Ik ben opgetogen dat radio het zo goed doet. Vanzelfsprekend verandert het luistergedrag een beetje door de pandemie. het aandeel thuisluisteren stijgt met 8%, het luisterbereik in de wagen tijdens de ochtendspits (6- 9u) daalt met 9% en het luisteren op de werkplek gaat lichtjes achteruit met 4%.” Globaal zien we dat radio een trouwe metgezel blijft van de Vlaming. Radio wordt meer geconsumeerd én er is een langere connectie met de luisteraars. “We zien de luisterduur stijgen tot 4u19min (+6min). En zoals MNM-luisteraar Lukas (11 jaar) het deze week zo mooi verwoordt: “Dankzij de radio voel ik mij veel beter verbonden met de wereld. Iedere ochtend en avond luister ik via de MNM-app naar de radio en wilde jullie daarvoor bedanken. " Beluister het fragmentje . Radioluisteren via internet in opmars Het internetluisteren overschrijdt voor het eerst de kaap van 20% van alle luisterminuten. Ook in de CIM Radio Stream Monitor bereiken we in maart 2021 een top van gemiddeld 74,3 miljoen luisterminuten via internet per dag. VRT-radio sterk op alle commerciële doelgroepen Naast het sterk gebruik van radio in Vlaanderen, blijven ook de luistercijfers van de VRT- radiozenders ijzersterk: - Radio 2 blijft de grootste zender van Vlaanderen met meer dan 30% marktaandeel op 12+.

Bruxelles, 15 novembre 2018 Le secteur des radios belges francophones (réseaux privés et RTBF) a été invité ce matin par le Vice-Président du Gouvernement et Ministre des Médias de la Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles, Jean-Claude Marcourt, pour procéder au lancement officiel du DAB+, la nouvelle technologie de diffusion numérique de la radio. C’est un évènement exceptionnel qui va changer les habitudes des auditeurs : à partir de ce jeudi 15 novembre, le média RADIO entame un virage important dans son histoire. Car, avec le lancement du DAB+ (pour Digital Audio Broadcasting Plus), la radio entre de plein pied dans la technologie de sa diffusion numérique. Le DAB+, c’est en quelque sorte l’équivalent numérique de la FM, mais en mieux et en plus fort. Une technologie qui permet dès aujourd’hui d’écouter la RADIO, en numérique, partout (chez soi, au bureau et en voiture), gratuitement et sans abonnement internet. L’étendue des avantages du DAB+ est vaste, raison pour laquelle ce standard international est appelé à succéder à la radiodiffusion analogique FM, le moyen le plus répandu pour écouter la radio. Pourquoi changer de technologie ? La radio est le seul média à ne pas encore être passé à une diffusion numérique. La diffusion FM (analogique) ne permet pas de profiter des avantages du numérique qui fait partie de notre quotidien.
