Before and after the ceremony you and your guests are welcome to tour the site, participate in award- winning public programs, interact with our cast of costumed interpreters, or host a private reception in one of several heritage venues. We can work with you as much or as little as you want to create a customized experience specific to your needs.

Wedding packages start at $500.00 for a basic venue rental. If you’d prefer us to handle more of the details for you, we can assist by organizing equipment rentals and wedding “add-ons” with a premium package. St. Saviour’s Anglican Church

Barkerville’s Anglican Church is a romantic venue with original stained-glass windows and nearly a century and a half of hallowed memories; perfect for a fairy-tale wedding.

Barkerville’s Methodist Church is an ideal venue for a memorable Gold Rush wedding. Subtle electrical lighting and rich wood paneling provide a cozy atmosphere with dynamic acoustics and surprisingly comfortable pews.

Built in 1882, the Richfield Courthouse is the oldest surviving wooden hall of justice in British Columbia. Starting with a pleasant 20-minute walk or comfortable 10-minute carriage ride through natural and built heritage landscapes along the historic Cariboo Waggon Road, the Courthouse (1.6 km from Barkerville) provides privacy and serenity for your wedding ceremony.

Barkerville’s Theatre Royal has brought culture and entertainment to the Cariboo Goldfields for more than a hundred years, which makes it the perfect venue for a wedding filled with magical memories that last a lifetime.

Please note: due to the Theatre Royal’s rigorous daily schedule of musical and dramatic productions, availability is limited throughout the summer months, and particularly in July and August. Barkerville’s world famous Chinese restaurant can accommodate your entire wedding reception, and restaurant staff will work with you to create the perfect menu, starting at twenty dollars per person.

The St. George Hotel

Located right on the Cariboo Wagon Road where you can watch the comings and goings of Barkerville’s main street from the porch, The St. George Hotel is a restored hotel from the 1860s, with some modern, comfortable amenities… such as free WiFi!

Enjoy comfortable, cozy furnishings, breakfast and good company. The entire hotel can be rented for your family; it sleeps fourteen.

Rooms: 3 The King House is located on the main Experience life in the street of Barkerville across the street from St. Saviour’s church and the Cariboo Gold Rush… schoolhouse. This cozy B&B is decorated in the era in which it was built. Feather beds, down duvets and antique furnishings of the King House allow you to take a step back in time (with a few of the creature comforts added for your enjoyment). The King House can be rented in its entirety; it sleeps six. The Kelly House

Rooms: 4 … through activities, The Kelly House is located on the second storytelling, and good street, across from the corrals, and offers an example of the life of the Kelly family during old-fashioned service! the earlier days of Barkerville. Antique furnishings, feather beds, down duvets and claw-footed tubs make your stay at the Kelly House memorable. The whole Kelly House can be rented for your entire bridal party, sleeping up to eight people.
