  • Mat Classic XXIV 2012 Media Packet
Mat Classic XXIV 2012 Media Packet Media Guidelines 1. Media passes and orange vests must be worn to enter the gated area on the floor. Both the vest and pass must be worn the entire time the media personal is inside the wrestling area. Having an orange vest does not grant you access into the wrestling area, the media pass does. 2. All interviews of wrestlers are to take place outside the fences that surround the wrestling area. 3. Inside the wrestling area is reserved for working Media personnel only. Any Media member standing or sitting around the mats, who are observed to not be taking photographs and/or match notes, will be asked by classification officials to vacate the wrestling area and move outside the fences. Multiple offenses of watching matches with no legitimate coverage intent will result in the forfei- ture of media credentials. 4. Prior to the finals, media personnel may sit along the open edges of a mat except on the scoring tableside. Personnel may not sit on the mats, and for safety of the media and wrestlers reporters/photographers should sit on the floor of the edge of the mat. It is recommended that media personnel bring a stadium cushion, as the surface under the mats is concrete. 5. Reporters/photographers are expected to move outside the wrestling area, beyond the fences, when not covering a match spe- cifically related to their coverage assignment. 6. During the finals, the priority is to uphold the integrity of the event for the wrestlers and spectators. Media personnel may sit on the edge of the mat on the side designated on the map below.
