His interest in baseball goes back to fond childhood memories of attending Rain- iers games at Sick’s Stadium in Seattle. He has been a longtime- Wenatchee resident and has started several businesses over the years including KW3 AM in 1976 and KW3 FM in 1985. He was co-owner and founder of the Wenatchee Business Journal in 1987, the Bellingham Business Jounal in 1992, and the Everett Business Journal in 1999. KEN OSBORNE Owner Assistant General Manager Ken has been the assistant general manager of the AppleSox since 2006. He was raised in Coulee City and attended Wenatchee Valley- College. Before joining the AppleSox, he spent seven years as the superintendent of the Sun Lakes Golf Course & Resort. Prior to that, he worked at Mission Ridge. He lives in Waterville, where he serves as his son’s little league coach. He is married to Windy, and they have two children, Will and Ella. TREVOR WILLIAMS Radio Play-by-Play Broadcaster Director of Communications Trevor is in his second season behind the mic for the AppleSox. He attends The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Wash- ington State University where he has announced baseball, volleyball, and soccer for wsucougars.com. He has filled-in for baseball play-by- play on the WSU IMG Sports Network and is a student assistant in the university’s Sports Information office. He previously interned for Sports Radio 950 KJR in Seattle, and began broadcasting basketball and football in high school for Game Time Northwest. 4 | Front Office BROADCASTING & SOCIAL MEDIA There are many great ways to stay connected with the AppleSox all year round. He held oppinents to a .279 average and had the ninth-lowest AJ oppinent batting average amongst WCC pitchers in confer- ence play, stifling batters with a .243 average against. PROSZEK Proszek’s 2009 Bulldogs won the regular season and WCC championships. He pitched with notable AppleSox Head Coach alumnus, Steve Ames, who pitched in the Marlins organiza- 1st Season tion through 2014. Ames was a 2008 pitcher for Wenatchee. Proszek posted a 3.67 ERA in 2009 and was 2-1 with 13 (3rd Total) appearances and four starts. He threw 49 frames, and held opponents to a .291 average. He struck out 25 opposing Gonzaga, 2009 hitters. In 2009, Proszek was selected in the 38th round of the June MLB Amateur Draft by the San Francisco Gi- ants. Proszek went on to pitch his first two collegiate sea- sons at Spokane Falls Community College, before joining Gonzaga head coach Mark Machtolf in the West Coast Con- ference with the Bulldogs. In his second season with Spo- kane Falls, Proszek was named First Team All-Eastern Re- gion. He owned a 5-5 record, 2.61 ERA, and sent 61 hitters packing, on strikes. Proszek’s final three starts at Spokane Falls saw him lose a no-hit bid late, post a one-hit perfor- mance, and win a 2-1 pitcher’s duel. Prior to his first season with the Bulldogs, Proszek pitched with the West Coast League’s Spokane Riverhawks. He played with the Spokane franchise through the 2008 WCL season, and was one of two Riverhawks selected to play in the 2007 All Star Game. Proszek was the winning pitcher in the All Star Game played at Joe Martin Field in Bellingham, Wash. A two-year letterwinner at Gonzaga, Proszek earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management at GU. As a ju- nior, Proszek accumulated a 4.92 ERA over 60 1/3 innings pitched. He made 11 appearances and started 10 games for the Bulldogs. Proszek tossed 35 strikeouts and earned his first Division I win March 17, 2008 against Utah Valley. He 6 | Coaching Staff Through 4 1/3 innings he struck out six and walked two. Proszek was called up to low-A Salem-Keizer in 2010 and accumulated a 1-1 record with the Volcanoes. He had an 8.85 ERA in 13 relief appearances and worked 20 1/3 innings. He struck out 18 and walked four batters. 2011 marked Proszek’s final minor league season as he spent time with the AZL Giants in the rookie league, before being called up to finish his professional career with the San Jose Giants in high-A. With AZL, Proszek was 1-1 and had a 2.05 ERA. He made 12 relief appearances through 22 innings and was a force to be reckoned with, striking out 21 batters and walk- ing just three. Proszek was called up to San Jose later that year, and was 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA. He made seven relief appear- ances over 9 1/3 innings and struck out nine, while walking five. All told, Proszek was 4-2 in three minor league seasons and finished with a 5.11 ERA. He appeared in 49 games, started four, and worked a total of 79 1/3 innings. He tossed 80 strikeouts and walked 22 hitters. An accurate pitcher, his strikeout-to-walk ratio was better than 4:1.
