* Luxury ensuite cabins * Camp Kitchen/open fire In Memoriam Mark Pearse * Games room & Playground * Grassed sites & BBQ areas It was with much sadness that our community learned that Mark passed away earlier this year, after a short Phone 85582458 illness. Cape Jervis Road, NORMANVILLE He was a well-liked and respected contributor in many community spheres: www.beachside.com.au art, pottery, music and his ministry. He was also active for a significant number of years in the Yankalilla Showground community of friends, members, sponsors, advocates and committee. His contribution lives on in today’s Show. Together with his wife, Jill, he initiated the Yankabald Portrait prize. They were original sponsors with Ken Hutt. Remember Mark as you view this year’s entries and as you vote for People’s Choice. If you sit in the shade of a tree around the grounds, remember Mark again. He was a driving force behind the planting of trees and the seating. He not only planted trees but kept them well- watered in summer. The plaques that commemorate tree sponsorship are also his work as are the two shorter painted poles at the South Rd boundary. We acknowledge the sad loss and celebrate his lasting contribution. photo of Mark by Gary Juleff
