Two top female vocalists have emerged as disco queens to be reckoned with. Supposedly, Donna Summer is presently the "Disco Queen," winning several grammy awards for her prolific tunes. In the midst of so many talented entertainers Ms. Summer may have to step aside for the likes of Ami Stewart and Gloria Gaynor. Ms. Stewart whose first album and single, "Knock on Wood" is currently rising on the disco charts, presents an energizing sound that has already won her many fans. Gloria Gaynor, unlike Stewart, has had much success with her third album "Love Tracks." Three years ago trendsetting albums, "Never Can Say Goodbye," and "Experience," this fabulous lady A&T jazzers "getting off" in Holland Bowl! has returned to the spotlight with disco hit - "I Will Survive."
