Notes for Teachers Student Dress code: Western business formal attire. No matter what country you represent, you will wear Western business attire. Costumes or traditional dress to mimic an assigned nation are not permitted. Students of Jewish or Muslim faith are welcome to wear yarmulke or hijab as those are not costumes. ● No visible skin around the waist, shoulder blades, or thighs. No cleavage. ● No shorts. ● Skirts should be knee length or just above the knee. ● No jeans. ● No underwear should be seen. That’s why it’s called underwear. For men, a tie and collared shirt are required. A jacket is not required, but highly encouraged for those in intermediate and advanced committees. We do not ask anyone to go purchase a jacket; however we believe that that ties are easily and affordably attainable. (Yes, the tie goes around the neck.) You will be walking across campus. We advise against 4 or 5 inch heels as well as flip flops. Wear business appropriate shoes if you have them. Do not wear cologne or body spray that is obtrusive. If you can be smelled at the five foot range, it’s too strong. People have chemical allergies. Be aware that MUN draws students from many cultures. Dressing professionally is a way for you to demonstrate respect for others. If you have questions, ask your teacher. DRESS CODE Broome High School students should take pride in their image. Students are required to dress and groom themselves in a manner not to disrupt instruction or the orderly operation of the school. Following are the dress code rules for our school. Clothing deemed distracting, revealing, suggestive, or disruptive will not be permitted. Clothing must not be immodest, obscene, profane, lewd, vulgar, indecent or offensive. It cannot reference or depict alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, or other paraphernalia. A student’s hair must not be so inappropriate as to be disruptive at school. Sleeveless attire cannot reveal undergarments. Shirts must cover the width of the shoulder. Tops that are so tight or so low-cut to cause unfavorable distractions may not be worn at school. Cleavage should not be visible at any time. No skin should be showing between a student’s shirt and his/her pants, skirt, or shorts whether sitting, standing or walking. Shirts must not expose a student’s back. Tank tops, halter-tops, strapless shirts, and shirts with spaghetti straps will not be allowed. No transparent or mesh clothing can be worn without an appropriate shirt underneath. Shirts must cover pants even when seated. Heels that are in excess over 2 inches will not be allowed. No headwear will be allowed in the building. This restriction includes: hats, bandanas, do-rags, hair picks, hoods, and large headphones. The first offense will result in the item being confiscated and returned at the end of the day. Student Dress Code
STUDENT DRESS CODE 1. Clothing and body art are not to be suggestive, indecent, inappropriate or of the type that would cause a disturbance or interfere with the instructional program. Anything that reveals cleavage shall not be worn. 2. Clothing designed for wear inside the home, such as pajamas and loungewear is inappropriate for wear at school. 3. The body and clothing should be clean at all times and should not constitute a health hazard. 4. Hair should be neat, well groomed, not obstruct vision, and be free of picks, combs, rollers and/or any other grooming object. Hats, baseball caps, sports headbands, bandanas, visors or similar headgear may not be worn in the building during regular school hours. Girls may wear hair accessories, not grooming objects. Hoods or hoodies on shirts and sweatshirts must not be worn on the head on school property (including busses) and must be worn with the hood resting on the back in the standard position on the school campus at all times. 5. Underclothing with the exception of the neck/collar of a tshirt, should not be seen. Tshirts of the underwear type are not to be worn as an outside garment, even with another undershirt beneath. 6. Tap shoes, house shoes, cleats, hobnailed boots and bare feet are prohibited. 7. Clothing with advertising, slogans, pictures or symbols that are determined to be inappropriate, vulgar, offensive or obscene is prohibited. 8. Jewelry and other accessories should be carefully selected. Some popular jewelry pieces, such as those with spikes, may violate other codes such as weapon codes.

Brother Martin High School Dance/Event Dress Code 2019-20 The Administration and/or faculty of Brother Martin will make all final judgements on the appropriateness of questionable attire. The dress code will be strictly enforced, and regrettably if a student or his date does not adhere to these guidelines, he/she will not be admitted. For confirmation on whether a dress/outfit is appropriate, please email a picture of yourself in the dress/outfit to Ms. Kelly Wild [email protected] Assistant Principal for Student Services. All grooming rules as stated in the Brother Martin Student Handbook must be followed. Clothes must be neatly pressed. Thrift shop outfits that draw undue attention to the student, and are not appropriate for the event, are not allowed. All accessories including shirts and cummerbunds must conform to conventional formal dress specifications. Hats, bandanas, or headwear of any kind are not permitted. No one may bring props, knapsacks, or book bags to a dance or event. If anyone, a student, his date, or a girl attending the function leaves a dance, then he/she will not be permitted to return. The consumption of any beverage not supplied at the dance or event is not permitted. And of course there is no alcohol or illegal substances allowed on the premises of any dance or event. EMPLOYEE DRESS CODE POLICY The following are guidelines regarding acceptable business attire for employees of Centenary University. The impression that we, as employees of the University, present to others is as important as serving as role models of professionalism for our students. The University has adopted a business casual dress code Monday through Thursday, and allows jeans to be worn on Friday for Centenary Spirit Day. Employees who prefer to dress in more formal traditional business attire should feel free to do so. Business casual wear encompasses many looks but it really means casual clothing that is appropriate for a professional office environment. It is clothing that allows you to be comfortable at work yet always look neat and professional. It means clothing that is clean, unwrinkled, and not too tight, revealing, or baggy. We ask that you consider each day’s activities when determining what to wear, as there are situations when traditional business attire may be required and is more appropriate. STUDENT DRESS CODE AND APPEARANCE Policy Code: 4316 The board requests that parents outfit their children in clothing that is conducive to learning. The board prohibits any appearance or clothing that does the following: (1) violates the guidelines in this policy; (2) is substantially disruptive (for information on gang-related attire, see policy 4328, Gang-Related Activity); (3) is provocative or obscene; or (4) endangers the health or safety of the student or others. Student appearance should reflect practices of good hygiene and cleanliness. A. STUDENT DRESS CODE Students are expected to be dressed in accordance with this policy at all times school is in session. The principal or designee shall implement this policy in a manner that is age and developmentally appropriate. Good judgment in considering issues such as age, developmental stages, and body type are expected of all students and parents in the selection of school attire and appearance. Each student’s school attire must be neat, clean, properly fitted, age- appropriate, and suitable for the learning environment. Schools may not charge students for wearing clothing approved below. 1. PROFESSIONAL DRESS CODE FOR ADMINISTRATORS, TEACHERS, AND SECRETARIAL STAFF The Hobbs Municipal Schools Board believes that employees of the School District can more effectively carry out their respective functions and responsibilities which help meet the School District=s primary function of educating students when staff members dress in a professional manner. Students, parents, and other community members who interact with staff members are more likely to respond favorably to a staff member who dresses professionally. Students are more likely to show respect and follow directions from a staff member who dresses professionally. Therefore, the Board adopts the following dress code for staff members. Professional Dress Standards for Men Acceptable Attire / Grooming ! Pants or slacks; creases in pants help improve the image of the apparel. ! Collared shirts to include Polo-type and button-down shirts. Sweaters, turtlenecks and Henley shirts are acceptable. (Physical Education instructors should wear shirts with collars and shorts or pants that exhibit professional attire). ! Ties and dress coats improve the image; recommended but not required. ! Visible body piercing; ONLY the ear(s) is acceptable. ! Cologne or aftershave to be unobtrusive. ! Shoes that are clean and polished improve the image. (Tennis shoes often detract from the image and should be worn sparingly at the direction of the principal). ! Facial hair must be neat and well groomed. Non-Acceptable Attire / Grooming ! DRESS CODE Proper attire is to be worn at school by all students to foster an environment conducive to learning. To ensure that students observe basic rules of personal hygiene and dress in a manner that would not disrupt the educational process, the following Chaparral High School dress code provisions are in effect in accordance with CCSD Regulation 5131. • Requires the wearing of shoes with soles. House slippers and shoes with wheels are not permitted. • All clothing must be sufficient to conceal any and all undergarments. No skin will show between of shirt/blouse and top of pants or skirts at any time. All sleeveless shirts must have straps at least three inches and cover the shoulder. Prohibited tops include, but are not limited to crop tops, tank tops, strapless, low cut clothing, clothing with slits, or tops and outfits that provide minimum coverage. • Requires that all shorts, skirts, and dresses must be at fingertip length. If shorts are worn, they must be hemmed and without fraying. • All jeans, pants and trousers must be secured at waist level. Sagging is strictly prohibited. Jeans, pants, and trousers are not to have rips or tears that expose undergarments and/or are located mid-thigh or higher. • Headgear (hats, hoods, caps, bandanas, hair grooming aids except for designated school approved uniforms, special events, authorized athletic practices, documented medical conditions, bona fide religious reasons, or CCSD/school sanctioned activities. • Slogans or advertising on clothing, jewelry, buttons, and/or accessories which by their controversial, discriminatory, profane, and/or obsene nature disrupt the educational setting are prohibited.

DRESS CODE The dress code is an area in which parent cooperation is essential to students and the school. The majority of parents and students agree that modest, simple attire is most appropriate for school wear. Students wearing inappropriate attire/items to school will either remove them, change into PE clothes, or will have a parent contacted to either bring them appropriate attire or to go home and change. Students who fail to maintain these standards may be withheld from instruction and shall be required to correct the condition found to be hazardous to safety or health, or disruptive to teaching and/or learning. LHHS DRESS CODE LHHS is a high-achieving high school. We expect our students to be dressed for an academic atmosphere of purposeful learning and responsible citizenship. Students should observe modesty and neatness in clothing and personal appearance. These guidelines will help you make good choices about what your child can wear to school. Please note that the principal and the principal's designee has total discretion in determining the appropriateness of dress or grooming that is not considered to be part of, or conducive to, the school learning environment. All clothing must be worn in an appropriate and tasteful manner, and as originally intended by the designer. Fort Worth ISD 220905 STUDENT CONDUCT FNCA DRESS CODE (LOCAL) PURPOSE The District’s dress code is established in an effort to improve stu- dent learning and to facilitate a safe learning environment. It is in- tended to instill discipline, prevent disruption, avoid safety hazards, and teach respect for authority.
