Spring 2006 BARGE MUSIC FULTON FERRY LANDING,

It doesn't take long to hear what makes Bargemusic the perfect chamber music hall ... ~n a standard hall, even a comparatively small one like Alice Tully or Merkin, the sound they produced would have been not just quiet, but distant as well. In the intimate confines of Bargemusic, though, this restrained passage sacrificed nothing in presence or fine-grained detail. Allan Kozinn - The Times

Dinsmore Adams, Jr. Manager Rachel Berk Chairman Olga Bloom Philip Heary David Bottoms Mark Peskanov, Bargemusic Staff President and Joseph Coyne Stephanie Marcus, Artistic Director David Gottlieb Graphic Design Dr. Geza von Habsburg Mark Peskanov Rita Sloan

Dear Friends, This year, with caring foresight, our Board of Directors formally installed Mark Peskanov as President and Artistic Director of Bargemusic. We are the first and only year-round, floating concert hall in history and consequently, we are con• stantly challenged by situations requiring courage and impeccable standards. Merciful fate brought us Mark Peskanov, who joyfully still continues his solo career in many countries. He readily recognizes and engages world competition gladiators. Their individual strength in concerted effort gives a compelling interpretation of chamber music. Our audiences accept revelation and healing in the ineffable soar of music away from pedestrian push and pull of survival. Rejoice with us. From your grateful octogenarian founder,

P.S. Mark Peskanov balances the budget with the same phenomenal agility that he brings to playing a Paganini Caprice.
