The Story Coming In The Medicine Hat Tigers were bested 4-0 by the Brandon Wheat Kings on Tuesday night and they will look to return to their winning ways tonight when they host the Moose Jaw Warriors. The Orange and Black are 14-7-1-0 overall and 6-2-1-0 at home. Medicine Hat is led by veteran forwards Captain James Hamblin with 33 points (14G, 19A) and Brett Kemp with 24 points (6G, 18A). After tonight’s battle with the Warriors, the Tabbies will host the Prince Albert Raiders on Saturday. Tigers vs. Warriors For the first time this season the Tigers will faceoff against the Warriors. Last year, these two hockey clubs met four times and the Tabbies boasted a 1-2-0-1 record against the Warriors with their only win coming December 5th, 2018, in overtime. Over the past five years Medicine Hat is 4- 6-1-1 overall against Moose Jaw and 2-3-0-1 when playing at home. The Tigers and the Warriors will meet again next Friday in Moose Jaw. View from Moose Jaw The Moose Jaw Warriors lost 4-0 to the Saskatoon Blades on Sunday and they will be looking to rebound tonight in Medicine Hat. The Warriors are 9-9-1-0 so far this season and they are led by 2021 NHL Draft Eligible Ryder Korczak with 29 points (8G, 21A) in 19 games played and 2019 Anaheim Ducks draft pick Brayden Tracey with 22 points (10G, 12A) in 12 games played. After tonight the Warriors will return to Mosaic Place to host the Calgary Hitmen on Saturday night. -

MANITOBA AAA MIDGET HOCKEY LEAGUE Pembina Valley Hawks— 2014-15 Champions 2015 STATS & RECORD BOOK Celebrating 30 years 1985-1986 — 2014-2015 Preamble lthough the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League officially began with the 1985-86 season, the foundation for the league was laid a year earlier when the regional team Aconcept was first implemented. For the 1984-85 season, organizers proposed that an eight-team league be split into two four- team division with each of the teams playing host to a two-day tournament featuring teams from their own division. One final tournament would be held in which the top two teams from each di- vision would participate. The overall objective was to compete at the Branch, Western Regional and National Air Canada Midget Championship. A list of competing teams for the 1984-85 seasons has not been confirmed, but it is known that the rural division consisted of teams in Pembina Valley, Southwest, Interlake, Yellowhead and Brandon. The Winnipeg Stars won the provincial midget championship, defeating Pembina Valley Hawks in the City/Rural finals. The inaugural 1985-86 Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League season featured nine teams — Winnipeg (St. Boniface) Saints, River East Royals, Winnipeg South Monarchs and St. James Canadians in the City Division and Pembina Valley Hawks, Southwest Cougars, Brandon Wheat Kings, Parkland Stars and Interlake Raiders in the Rural Division. May 17, 2018 in London, ON. ‐ Wayne Winstone, 78 ‐ Played junior with the Winnipeg Braves from 1956‐57 to 1958‐59 when the team won the Canadian junior championship. Nov. 11, 2018 in Tucson, Arizona ‐ Dr. Andy Lillie, 87 ‐ All‐around athlete in Winnipeg who played minor hockey with the West End Orioles and Sir John Franklin. Played recreational hockey into his fifties in the States including playing several years in the Senior Olympics tournament in Santa Rosa, Cal. Dec. 6, 2018 in Toronto ‐ Gerry Cariou, 86 ‐ Played junior for the Winnipeg Canadians in 1950‐51 and the Black Hawks in 1951‐52. Jan. 4, 2019 in Winnipeg ‐ Laurie Pollard, 90 ‐ Served on the board of the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club in 1974. Redistribution is meant to reflect population growth and the territorial shifts in population both among and within provinces. There are two steps in the redistribution process. The first step involves a recalculation of the number of seats in the House of Commons given to each province based on new population estimates and a complex formula contained in the Constitution. After the current redistribution, the number of seats in the House of Commons will have increased from 308 to 338. Four provinces—Alberta, British Columbia, Quebec and Ontario—will gain seats. Along with five other provinces, Manitoba is retaining the same number of seats (14) that it had before -
