Set sail away from the port of Sfakia, after a spectacular ride there from Platanias, through the mountainous roads of Lefka Ori (the White Mountains). Enjoy the endless blue while reach- ing the coast of Agia Galini, where the exit of the famous Samaria Gorge lies. Your captain will be pleased to give you information about the island on the way! Once at the beach of Agios Pavlos, the boat will set anchor, as you explore this mystique place. The beach is totally secluded from civilization, as the only possible to reach it is by boat or by long trekking along the E4 European Trail. It is covered by gray and brown sand and is hidden inside a small pine forest!
Follow the wind to the beautiful sea caves of Marmara beach. The cliffs resemble marbles here, which is where the beach took its name from (in Greek: “Marmara” means “Marbles”). The water has a majestic light blue colour; don’t miss the chance to dive from the boat in these amazing waters, as you sail around the sea caves formed within the rocks. Next stop at the picturesque Loutro village, a hidden gem in the heart of the South coast. Let the wind drive you by Agia Roumeli, where the exit of the famous Samaria Gorge is located. The boat will then set anchor at the beautiful beach of Agios Pavlos. The beach is covered by gray and brown sand and hidden inside a small pine forest. Taste the Cretan food prepared by your skipper and don’t forget to stay energized with some snacks and fruits on the way! Sail through the turquoise waters of the Marmara caves and indulge yourselves in the view of the picturesque Loutro village before getting back to the port of Sfakia. Bottled water, refreshments and wine will also be available on board throughout the trip!
