Career and Technical Student Organizations Serving Career and Technical Education Students in Georgia 1 Career & Technical Student Organizations (CTSO’s) help to further connect our successful CTE programs to the “real world” of work. Through these organizations students are given the opportunity to hone their respective skills, compete against students from around the country and develop strong public speaking and leadership attributes. There is no doubt that CTSO’s are helping to dhape tomorrow’s leaders to reach new heights. This only further enhances our nation’s ability to ensure all students are college and career ready. Carter State Representative, District 175 Lowndes High School Teacher 2 Georgia Fact Sheet CTE STATE OVERVIEW At the secondary level, CTE is delivered through comprehensive high schools; area technology centers, which provide supplemental CTE programs to both high-school-enrolled youths and adults; and skills centers, which prepare juvenile and adult inmates for success in the workplace and in the community. At the postsecondary level, CTE is delivered through the state’s community and technical colleges and area technology centers, which provide CTE programs on the high school and postsecondary levels.
