We will be meeting in Boulder on Monday Mar 31st and Tuesday Apr 1st at the Boulderado Hotel. (http://www.boulderado.com ask for NASA OPAG room rates).

The agenda will include status reports on the two Outer Planet Flagship mission studies being carried out jointly by NASA and ESA, an overview of the Division from Jim Green, the availability of Pu-238 for future power systems, New Frontiers AO3 - and more - including an open mike for brief presentations from OPAG attendees.

Two teams have been established to study missions to (a Jupiter orbiter or Europa orbiter) and to . The Titan SDT cochaired by Jonathan Lunine (U of AZ) and Jean-Pierre Lebreton (ESA), Jupiter by Ron Greeley (ASU) and Jean-Pierre Lebreton (ESA). The teams a full schedule of meetings and will be submitting reports to NASA and to ESA in the summer. The members of the 2 teams will be posted on the OPAG website shortly.

The mission concept study reports for the 4 studies carried out last year - Europa, Titan, and Jupiter System Observer - are posted on the OPAG website http://www.lpi.usra.edu/opag/announcements.html It is hoped that the TMCO reviews will also be posted before to very long.

The Planetary Science Subcommittee of the NASA Advisory Council met March 3-4th at the DTM in Washington, DC. There was extensive discussion of the NASA budget with Alan Stern (SMD AA) and Jim Green (Planetary Science Division Director). The presentations are posted on the (unofficial) PSS website http://www.lpi.usra.edu/pss/ (Warning: some of the presentations are very large files.) including a brief OPAG report from Fran Bagenal.

NASA has been working hard to restore the R&A budgets and we have two programs for outer solar system research with deadlines that are coming up. The Jupiter Data Analysis Program and the Cassini Data Analysis Program both have NOIs due in the next month or so. These are great opportunities for our community - everyone is encouraged to apply!

6. Saturn after Cassini-Huygens The Saturn Book Symposium entitled "Saturn After Cassini-Huygens" will be held at Imperial College London, UK, 28 July - 1 August 2008. The meeting is sponsored by the Cassini-Huygens Project and includes support from ESA, NASA, Imperial College, STFC. The primary purpose of the meeting is to exchange ideas that will culminate in the publication of a Springer-Verlag book on the Saturn system.

The format will include invited talks on the various proposed chapters and poster sessions with summary plenary reporting for introducing new ideas and material that would be incorporated into the final text. The meeting will also conclude with presentations and discussions regarding the status of future plans by ESA and NASA to return to the Saturn system for further exploration.
