NFL.COM VOTERS SELECT AS WEEK 8 MOTOROLA NFL COACH OF THE WEEK

Head coach JACK DEL RIO of the Jacksonville Jaguars is the Motorola NFL Coach of the Week for games played on October 29-30, the NFL announced today.

Del Rio and the Jaguars visited Philadelphia on Sunday and defeated the Eagles 13-6. With David Garrard starting in place of the injured , Del Rio relied on the running game to move the football. Running backs Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew combined for 180 yards and one on 36 carries, and Garrard added 8 carries for 36 yards. The Jacksonville defense applied pressure to Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb all day, sacking him four times, and held Philadelphia to 227 total yards of offense.

Del Rio was selected as Motorola NFL Coach of the Week from among three finalists by voters on NFL.com. The other finalists were head coaches BRIAN BILLICK of the and of the .

In January, voting will be held on NFL.com to determine the Motorola NFL Coach of the Year.
