    IMTA ALUM ELIAS HARGER LIVES IN A FULLER HOUSE IMTA Press Release February 25, 2016 “Fuller House” will be available to stream on Netflix Friday, February 26th “Elias is going to blow people away. That kid is going to be a breakout star. He's really, really funny, doing jokes and rhythms I have never seen out of a little kid before.” – Jeff Franklin, “Fuller House” Writer/Executive Producer For fans of the classic TV sitcom “Full House” that ran from 1987-1995, the wait for the spin-off series is finally over. “Fuller House,” which will stream on Netflix beginning February 26, is not a reboot of the original series, but a chance to catch up with the characters several years later. Child stars of “Full House”—Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweeten and Andrea Barber—are reprising their roles as D.J. Tanner, Stephanie Tanner and Kimmy Gibbler respectively, but they are now adults with children of their own. One of D.J.’s children is “neurotic 7-year-old Max” who is being played by IMTA alum Elias Harger. “The live taping nights were very exciting because there's a lot of dancing and music,” Harger told People Magazine. “Filming the show was fun because I got to make a lot of friends.” Harger, who came to IMTA with Fogg Management in Denver, was LA14’s Child Actor of the Year and Most Sought Male Talent. He already has several commercials, short films and stage credits on his résumé. “Fuller House” is his first series, but he is even now mindful of being a child actor in Hollywood.

Homecoming Comedian Announcement Homecoming is approaching quickly and it is with great excitement that we get to announce to everyone the comedian that will be performing here on September 27th.This well-known American actor, impressionist, television host, and stand-up comedian has been in multiple movies and television shows. He has done extensive voice work for Scooby and Scrappy-Doo, The Real Ghostbusters, Yogi Bear and many more. He has also hosted America’s Funniest People, Opportunity Knocks and appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Many of you know may know him from Full House as Uncle Joey, this year the 2018 homecoming comedian is Dave Coulier! The show will take place in Williams Auditorium. Tickets will be on sale to students starting with a one ticket limit for $5 on Tuesday, September 4th in the CLACS office from 10am to 3pm. Ticket sales will open to the public on Monday, September 17th for $10 each. On this day students will be able to purchase additional tickets for $10 each.

    Week of August 8, 2016 MVCC named National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense MVCC has been designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Two-Year Education (CAE2Y) by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security. “The CAE2Y designation certifies that MVCC’s Cybersecurity program meets the highest national standards for cyber- security education,” said Jake Mihevc, Associate Dean of Business, Cybersecu- rity, and Computer Sciences at MVCC. “The NSA and DHS have been very active in supporting cybersecurity educa- tion to meet the growing national demand for cybersecurity professionals. MVCC’s GenCyber camp for secondary school students and teachers this summer is the first demonstration of that support.” MVCC offers an associate in sci- ence degree and a one-year certificate in Cybersecurity and is one of only KEEPING THE CODE SAFE – MVCC President Randall VanWagoner, Ph.D., discusses how the Cyber- 40 community colleges nationwide to security program at the College has grown from 26 to 130 students in just five years.
