Même la belle couverture cartonnée en jette terriblement ! En plus moi qui suis totalement fan de mythologie scandinave ce livre ne pouvait que me plaire . Donc voilà , un nouveau récit de Thor . Ouups plutôt son frère adoptif Loki qui malmène notre dieu de la foudre plus que jamais et s'installe sur le thrône de son père Odin à la place de Thor . Loki va alors découvrir qu'être le roi d'Asgard n'était pas si facile qu'il n'y parait . Un superbe album bien dessiné et réalisé, haut et fort en couleurs. Le moment est venu de donner la parole à Loki, le demi-frère Thor. Sa soif insatiable de pouvoir, ses sentiments ambigus pour Lady Sif, sa haine envers Thor prennent une autre dimension dans ce Graphic Novel écrit par Robert Rodi et magnifiquement mis en peinture par Esad Ribic, qui nous plongent dans l'univers onirique du fabuleux royaume d'Asgard.Biographie de l'auteurRobert Rodi est né à Chicago en 1956. Après avoir publié un certain nombre de romans, d'articles et de critiques avisées pour The Comics Journal, il débute comme scénariste de bande dessinée avec la série Heart Throbs pour DC/Vertigo. Pour ce label, il crée aussi sa première mini-série (Four Horsemen) et écrit de nombreuses histoires publiées en volumes anthologiques, outre son titre régulier Codename : Knockout. Pour CrossGen, il signe The Crossovers. En 2004, il inaugure sa collaboration avec Marvel en réalisant les derniers numéros de la série d'Elektra et Loki. Ensuite, en parallèle à son activité de romancier et d'essayiste, Rodi scénarise le comics d'horreur Tomb of Dracula, et deux mini-séries liées au monde du dieu du Tonnerre : Thor : Au nom d'Asgard et Thor : La saga des Déviants, dessinées respectivement par Simone Bianchi et Stephen Segovia. Pour Dynamite, il es l'auteur de la mini Kirby : Genesis - Dragonsbane. Né en Croatie en 1972, Esad Ribic commence sa carrière aux Etats- Unis quand la maison d'édition américaine Antarctic Press publie Codename : Scorpio, BD qu'il a réalisée en collaboration avec Miki Horvatic. Passé chez Vertigo/DC, il dessine la mini-série Four Horsemen et quelques histoires contenues dans les anthologies Pulp Fantastic et Strange Adventures. Il fait ses débuts chez Marvel avec les deux derniers numéros de X-Men : Les enfants de l'atome. Suivront, au fil des ans, le spécial Uncanny X-Men 2000, avec Scott Lobdell au scénario, les mini-séries Loki, SilverSurfer : Requiem (sur des textes de J Michael Straczynski) et Namor : Voyage aux fonds des mers (écrit par Peter Milligan), ainsi que quelques numéros d'Uncanny X-Force. ABSTRACT My work tracks the role of the American South and Southern characters in Marvel Comics, from 1963 to 2016. This thesis spring from a simple question: how stereotypical does this Northern industry portray the American South? To achieve this goal, I read plenty of comics, applying literary theory (such as Patricia Yeager and Tara McPherson) as well as American cultural studies (1980s televangelism and the history of human trafficking in America) to my findings. After reading multiple comic books from multiple sources, I settled on four different texts, each with a unique approach to portraying the South: the portrayal of the Southern environment in Amazing Spider-Man and Adventure into Fear, the use of metaphorical Southerners in God Loves, Man Kills, the changing depiction of Marvel's premier Southern character Rogue in two limited series she stars in, and the portrayal of a modern, urban, South in the series Scarlet Spider.
