It wouldn’t take long before he was able to replicate that success in 2016. With big victories over Yale University, Cornell University, and a thrilling last sec- ond win in Annapolis over Navy JV. Led by offensive MVP, Jaylen Larry and de- fensive MVP, DeAndre House, the victory secured Chaplick’s 151st win as the Head Coach of the Falcons. A native of Ansonia, CT Coach Chaplick was a Tri-Captain and All-State All Valley Register play- er of the week, Hall of Fame Player at Ansonia High School. Bill earned a full scholarship to Boston College, All-East All ECAC - All New England Center. Bill was named the 2007 Citizen of the Year by the Town of New Berlin and the 2008 Small Business Man of the Year by County of Chenango, New York. Coach Chaplick is the father of 3 children; Danielle, Michael and Peyton. Our deepest sorrows go to his wife Pat and his sons, Clint and Trevor. Coach Downey changed and influenced countless lives for the better for over 50 years. He will be for- ever missed. Dick is well known as “Coach.” He began his career in football at Milford Academy, Milford, CT, before moving to the position of defensive coach at the University of Rhode Island (URI). He was part of Head Coach Robert Griffin’s coaching staff. He devoted himself to the development of the players and was a role model to the young men on the team.
