Female centered leadership Lisa Grills, Executive Director, YWCA Great Lakes Bay Region organizations are essential to our county if women are to become more equally represented Meghan Cherry, Lecturer of Political Science, SVSU in the board rooms and government suites. Octavia Cabey, Retired, M & E, The Dow Chemical Company Carole Calvert-Baxter, MA, LLPC MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland Center for Women's Health • The YWCA of the Great Lakes Bay Region became the focus of one of the student’s research. She found this organization to be completely dedicated to helping women gain Kylie Goggins, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, SVSU their economic and health footings via participation in workshops, presentations and, in Beth Handley-McMall, Principal, Rehmann some instances, one-on-one counseling and training. They offer parenting classes, public Heddie Sumner, Retired, Registered Nurse speaking workshops, and internet safety courses, to name a few. One of the crowning Brandy Abraham, Editor & Designer programs offered through the YWCA is their Getting Ahead program.
