THE GEODEMOGRAPHICAL FEATURES in the RAUT's HYDROGRAPHIC BASIN Phd Student Nadejda CIOCAN, ASEM Raut River Basin Is the Larges
THE GEODEMOGRAPHICAL FEATURES IN THE RAUT’S HYDROGRAPHIC BASIN PhD student Nadejda CIOCAN, ASEM Raut river basin is the largest hydrographic basin located entirely in Moldova. Its inside surface includes approximate 23% of the country, including almost all the districts of Donduseni, Drochia, Floresti, Singerei, Telenesti, Orhei and Balti. The evolution of demographic phenomenon of recent years shows that there have been substantial changes in the Raut basin population. As a result of external migration of the population and reducing the birth rate in the period 2010-2015, the population in Raut river basin was reduced by 9.1 thousand people. The main demographic indicators are observed decreasing mortality and increasing by 0,8‰ to 0,1‰ birth. Such natural balance is negative (-0.7‰) and the population is reduced. But if it keeps decreasing mortality and increasing birth rates, in the future will attest to slow growth in population in this area. Key words: Raut, river basin, birth rate, death rate, natural increase, migration. Introduction The progress of any economic or social activities, the society existence in general is in-conceivable, taking abstraction of the human collectivity and the vital geographical space of it. This fact explains and the population knowledge necessity at the hydrographic basins level, that will make available the report between geographic factors and demographic processes. The lack of permanent and relevant statistical information creates uncertainties and slows the realization of some assembly studies in the Raut river basin. The geo-demographic features studies in the Raut river basin, has as a purpose the establishment of a certain trends and legitimates in the evolution of the demographic processes, both in dynamics and space. -

Abstract: In this paper, eleven alien plant species are presented, two of them are reported for the fi rst time in the Republic of Moldova (Euphorbia maculata, Gaillardia pulchella), one of them has so far been reported only from a botanical garden (Oenothera glazioviana), and eight species were previously known from a few localities in Moldova (Amaranthus powelii, Centaurea diff usa, Grinde- lia squarrosa, Gypsophila perfoliata, Ruta graveolens, Silphium perfoliatum, Sorghum halepense and Tragus racemosus). We a lso present an indigenous species which behaves as invasive (Rumex thyrsi- fl orus). We c ollected plants primarily on roadsides, along railway lines and in settlements, less oft en in natural habitats. Our goal is to report scattered data here. Voucher specimens were deposited in the Hung arian Natural History Museum, Botanical Department, Herbarium Generale (BP). Key words: alien plants, invasive species, railway lines, road margins, synanthropic fl ora, urban fl ora INTRODUCTION Some alien species may become invasive, threatening natural and agricul- tural ecosystems, causing damages to the economy and human health (McNeely 2001, Wittenberg & Cock 2001, Csiszár & Korda 2015). -

The main topics presented in this paper are: 1) the dynamics of emissions from fixed and mobile pollution sources; 2) spatial and branch profile of emissions generated by fixed pollution sources: 3) existing problems in evaluation and monitoring of emissions sources; 4) the implementation of objectives on adaptation to climate change and low emission economy. The volume of emissions from fixed sources is conditioned by the size of districts and of their urban centers, by the number and capacities of sources from energetics, agri-food complex and fuel stations, and by level of emissions monitoring of environmental authorities. In the majority districts and economic activities is found a oscillatory dynamics of emissions, on the background of a general growth trend. -

Challenges in Utilization and Management of Water Resources of the Camenca River Basin in the Context of Intensified Human Impact
Lucrările Seminarului Geografic Dimitrie Cantemir Vol. 47, Issue 1, October 2019, pp. 75-97 http://dx.doi.org/10.15551/lsgdc.v47i1.04 Article Challenges in utilization and management of water resources of the Camenca river basin in the context of intensified human impact Petru Bacal 1 , Ana Jeleapov 1 1 Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Abstract. This article is dedicated to the evaluation of water use and management of 12 river water bodies delineated in the Camenca river basin – the biggest tributary of the Prut River in the limits of the Republic of Moldova. The study is based on the approaches and methodology proposed by the EU Water Framework Directive and its methodological guidelines as well as on the national normative documents. The present research was conducted as part of the Camenca river basin management plan and constitutes the basis for the development of the Programme of Measures meant to accomplish the environmental objectives established for water bodies. Considering water use problems in the limits of the pilot basin, in the present research several challenges were identified: intensification of climate change and reduction of water supply; reduced accessibility of the population to aqueducts and the lack of public sewerage systems; significant impact of diffuse pollution on agriculture; a large number of reservoirs in improper conditions. With regards to water resources management, the following issues were revealed: incomplete inventory of water resources and frequent cases of unauthorised water use; low prices for water supply and sewerage services as well as for water use and water pollution, which do not cover water use costs and investments in water resources and aquatic ecosystems protection; insufficient and fragmented subventions in water sector; issues regarding legal framework and adequate exploitation regime of reservoirs, etc.
