I would be grateful if you could help me with a problem of significant flooding outside our Property. I attach some photos to illustrate the problem. As you will note the drain and gully taking the road water and ditch water from the top field cannot cope ,this is despite me clearing the gully of all debris. The rainwater bypasses the full drain and then comes onto our drive then back onto the road to run down Faygate Lane until it floods on the level part causing significant problems for motorists. i have attempted to ease the flow by digging a soakaway to the next field as the drain does appear to have a pipe past our property but doesn't appear to be able to cope with the amount of rainwater. Hopefully the attached photos will show the extent of the problem which has been ongoing during the Winter. I would be grateful if one of your Highway officers could contact me with a view to visiting the site and discussing how to resolve the problem. It was approx 6pm and I was approached by two cars driving so erratically that they almost collided with me. They were not following each other; they were about 2 mins apart and I have no reason to think that the two young male drivers were racing each other. The first car had such a high speed that it was shaking and I had to pull into the side for my safety. Sadly this is not the first time I have experienced such reckless driving around Rusper. I live in the village and ride out once a week on my daughter's pony. I am becoming increasingly scared to ride out and have stopped my 17yr old daughter from doing so.
