Our cruise Opatija Taboard the 36-passenger Queen Eleganza sails between Split and Opatija and visits some CROAIA marvellous places which do not cater for the big ships. Each night we will remain moored in Mali Losinj the picturesque harbours affording the opportunity to dine ashore on some evenings and to Krka National Park Split enjoy the floodlit splendour and lively café society which is so atmospheric. Sibenik Brac As we make our way along the coast, highlights of the itinerary will include the historic cities of Hvar Split, Sibenik and Zadar, with their history dating back through the to the Roman Era and the delightful islands of Hvar, Dugi Atok and Losinj where we will spend time walking through the beautiful old towns. We will also visit areas of great natural beauty including the Telascica Nature Park and the majestic waterfalls of Krka.

Whether it be the beautiful coastal scenery, picturesque towns, atmospheric harbours or wealth of historic buildings, this unique area has so much to offer the genuine traveller and our itinerary will be appreciated by those who enjoy an eclectic mix of places, travelling with a small group of like-minded travellers and an informal style of cruising.

Split The Itinerary Day 1 London to Split, Croatia. Fly by scheduled flight. On arrival transfer to the Queen Eleganza. Enjoy the welcome dinner on board this evening as we moor overnight. (D)

Day 2 Split & Brac. A morning guided walk takes us through the town including the Palace of Diocletian which was built by the emperor in 295-305 AD as his retirement villa. Much of this large building is well preserved and the palace contains Split’s Old Town within its walls, making it the only Roman palace that has been continuously inhabited since Roman times. It is a wonderful spot to wander the maze of streets. Over lunch we sail the short distance to Brac and the attractive port of Pucisca located at the end of a long bay. Brac is world renowned for the quality of its stone which was used for the Diocletian’s Palace in Split as well as the White House in Washington and other parliament buildings in . Spend the morning in the charming small town, voted one of the prettiest in Europe, where the building’s white roofs create an ambient atmosphere. Cathedral of St James, Sibenik

Day 3 Hvar. Sail in the late morning to Stari Grad where we take a and and Baroque palaces. Of particular interest are the 9th short coach ride across the island to the attractive Old Town of Hvar century circular Church of St Donat, and the 13th century Romanesque for a guided walk. We will begin in the main square which is the largest cathedral. This evening you have the opportunity to dine ashore in one of piazza in Dalmatia, see the cathedral, the Franciscan Monastery and the the many restaurants in Zadar as we moor overnight. Day 5 Dugi Otok. We continue our journey cruising through the Day 9 Opatija to London. Disembark this morning and transfer to islands before we arrive at Sali, a traditional fishing village on the island Zagreb for our scheduled flight to London.(B) of Dugi Otok which is surrounded by hills and ancient olive groves. On a guided walking tour of the town we will see the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a stunning wooden altar from the 17th century.
