We received over 1,300 submissions, accompanied by inspiring and glowing endorsements of our community treasurers. 8 RECOGNISING THE UNSUNG HEROES OF AUSTRALIAN COMMUNITIES Not-for-profit organisations are the fabric which holds our nation together. We all, in turn rely heavily on our community treasurers who work tirelessly to ensure that our not-for-profit sector remains well placed to provide assistance to the most vulnerable members of our society. The Commonwealth Bank Not-for Profit Treasurers’ Awards consist of two categories – providing an opportunity to celebrate the hard work of treasurers across the nation, as well as being a vehicle for community treasurers to share their knowledge and ideas.
