Reverse transfer is a process by which community colleges accept credits completed by former students at a four-year college after leaving their two-year campus without a degree—thereby awarding them the associate degree they have since earned in equivalent credits. Reverse transfer is particularly valuable for students who are already in the workforce and can use this new credential to immediately boost their earning potential. Securing an associate degree also provides a psychological benefit to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree, further motivating them to continue their studies. Next Steps Who is Eligible?
