Thompson’s piece “Lasting Scars” on page 18. Leslie explored the lasting impact that bullying can have on kids, including a rare but real diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). How do you help without hovering? Read the story to find out. Then turn to the very last page in the magazine. You’ll notice we’ve added a brand-new — and really fun — column. “Mommy Fails” is a place where we as moms (and dads) can share (and laugh) at some of the comical situations we’ve encountered along our parenting journeys. I would love for you to share yours with me. I promise to share some of mine in the coming months too. Send me your blunders at editorial@ dfwchild.com.
