László Szarvas Wing Support Manager Colored ID picture Airlift Management Programme ászló Szarvas assumed his position of Wing Support Manager (Assistant Programme Manager) in January 2013. He is responsible for the efficient management of the support provided to the Heavy Airlift Wing (HAW), the operational arm of the L Strategic Airlift Capability (SAC) in the areas of general administration, community liaison, travel, facility management and registry services. László Szarvas graduated from the Military Transportation College, St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1988. He attended numerous warfare and staff officers’ courses both in Hungary and abroad, among which the Transportation Staff Officers Course at the Hungarian Military Academy, the Operations Course at the National Defence University (HUN), the War College at the National Defence University (HUN), as well as logistics and operational planning courses in Germany. Starting with 1988, he held several command positions at the Hungarian Defence Forces (HDF) Military Movement Centre, up to Deputy Commander in 1997-2000. He was appointed chief of the HDF Movement and Transportation Branch of the HDF Joint Logistics and Support Command, from 2003 to 2006, and the following year, he assumed the command of the Movement and Transportation Department, from the Development and Logistics Agency, Hungarian Ministry of Defence. From 2006 until 2008, László Szarvas was highly instrumental in the preparation and implementation of the SAC Program. In November 2008 he assumed the position of Deputy General Manager position in the former NATO Airlift Management Agency. The NAM Programme senior management is presently located at Pápa Airbase, Hungary, with additional staff at the NATO Support Agency (NSPA) Headquarters in Luxembourg and at the C- 17 System Program Office at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, USA. 1 NATO’s Logistics Agency of Excellence .
