Principals and Students: Only students listed in this document can appear for the Joint Dakshana Selection Test – JDST 2020. Principals are requested not to send anyone else as the test centers have capacity constraints and they will not be permitted to take the test. IMPORTANT: All students whose name appears in the JDST Selection List MUST fill the Dakshana Scholar Application Form online latest by November 25, 2019. Invited students who do not register will not be eligible to sit for the JDST. 1. The online application form is be available at http://dakshana.org/become-a-scholar/ 2. Please fill the form online and submit. 3. Admit Card can be downloaded from December 01, 2019. 4. Affix photograph and have the Admit Card signed by your school Principal. How to fill Online Scholar Application Form: To apply visit: http://scholarship.dakshana.org/ For Detailed Instruction on how to fill Online Dakshana Scholar Application Form: https://tinyurl.com/dak2020 Step 1: Log In: Enter your Dakshana Roll No. Now enter your Date of Birth which will be your password. (The format of the date of birth to be entered is “YYYY-MM-DD”. For e.g if your Date of birth is June 25, 2004 enter it as “2001-06-25”, including hyphen. Step 2: Change of Password: Once you enter correct Dakshana Roll No. and password, a window will pop up asking you to create a new password. Enter your new password and note it down. You will need this password each time you login to this website. Page 2 of 156 Step 3: Filling of Scholar Application: After you create the new password, the Scholar Form will open on screen. You need to complete and submit the Scholar Form online latest by November 25, 2019. Incomplete forms shall be rejected, and you will NOT be eligible to appear for the Dakshana Selection Test. Step 4: Submitting the Application: After you fill all the pages of the Scholar Application form (Student Information, Parent’s/Guardian’s Info, Household Info, Academic Info) you must preview and SUBMIT the form. After submitting the form you will get a confirmation message saying “Your form has been submitted successfully.” You can then download the form and keep a copy with you. Documents required: Following documents are required for completing the application: • Passport Size colour photograph (Maximum size 150kb)* • Scanned copy of School Identity Card • Scanned copy of Student’s Signature (Maximum size 100kb)* • Scanned copy of Caste certificate (in case of EWS, OBC, SC and ST)* • Scanned copy of Disability certificate (in case of Physically disabled)* * Mandatory document Step 5: Downloading Admit Card: You can login on this website on or after December 01, 2019 and download your admit card. Note: Please make all enquires regarding your application and admit card with your school. All updates are being sent regularly to the school via email. If you still have some queries, please email to [email protected]. NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE ENTERTAINED. Kindly note: The Admit Card is essential to enter the classroom for the test. Admit card will be generated for only those students who fill the application online. Candidates without the Admit Card will not be able to write the test. The answers to all questions in the Scholar Form must be filled COMPLETELY with no blank answers. Any willful attempt to provide wrong information or incorrect answers will lead to disqualification. Dakshana reserves the right to validate the information provided through various sources including NVS records, Principal and JNV staff interviews, peers, neighbors, school alumni and direct verifications. Should any information be found to be willfully falsified, Dakshana reserves the right to deny acceptance as a Dakshana Scholar and/or terminate coaching at any time after it has started. Telephone calls for these queries will not be entertained Page 3 of 156 Joint Dakshana Selection Test – JDST 2020 Dakshana will select scholars for 1 year of free IIT-JEE/NEET coaching to be conducted at the Dakshana Valley Campus, Pune through the JDST. The intake for IIT-JEE will be 300 and NEET will be 300 (These numbers may be updated later) The following JNV students have been selected by the Dakshana Foundation to appear in the Joint Dakshana Selection Test, for IIT- JEE/NEET 2021 coaching, from all JNVs across India. The test will be held on Sunday, December 08, 2019 at the following JNV locations. Candidates can appear for either Maths/Biology only and not for both. Answers are to be marked with HB pencil on OMR sheets. Each right answer is awarded 3 marks and 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer. The test is significantly more difficult than the CBSE 12th Board Maths and Science. No calculators are allowed in the test. Syllabus: Question will be asked only from Class 12. Schedule for the test on Sunday, December 08, 2019: Reporting at: 09:30 AM – 10:00 AM Selection Test: 10.30 AM – 01.30 PM Filling of Scholar form: 01:30 PM-02:00 PM Students should bring the following: 1. Dakshana Admit Card 2. School ID Card & Aadhar Card 3. Two Nataraj HB Pencils, blue/black ball point pen, an eraser and a sharpener 4. One recent Color Passport size photograph for pasting in Original Scholar Form. • You will not be allowed to carry any electronic item (cell phone, mp3 player, calculators etc.) inside the examination hall. • Any candidates found indulging in cheating will be immediately disqualified and their conduct reported to the Principal. • Please make a note of your Dakshana Roll Number listed below.
