h PREDSJEDNIK , October 22, 2012 PRESIDENT Ivan Zvonimir Čičak SUMMARY REPORT No. 12 POTPREDSJEDNIK VICE PRESIDENT Nenad Fabijanić Croatian Helsinki Committee (CHC) has launched a project of 'direct' prevention of sports fan violence. With this project we want to join those social groups who wish to IZVRŠNI ODBOR EXECUTIVE oppose the violence in our sports facilities, especially at football stadiums. Within the COMMITTEE scope of the project, our observers attended four games last weekend. Ivo Banac On the basis of personal insights and information gathered at the venues, we observed Miljenko Mesić Mijo Pavić the following: Igor Peternel Ivica Vrkić Match: Inter - Dinamo 0:2 – Friday 19.10. 2012 RIZNIČAR At the Inter stadium in Zaprešić there were over 3 thousand spectators. At west stand 2 TREASURER hundred anti-fans, so-called Bad Blue Boys. The first song they sang, ''I was born in the Vlatko Silobrčić north, all of you listen to me: police beat us up, like mangy dogs; but for you Dinamo, I ČLANOVI will endure all; we beat up police, like mangy dogs; but for you Dinamo, I will kill MEMBERS them all'', indicated clearly what direction would take ''cheering'' of this group. It started Ivo Banac with the usual ''HNS faggots'', ''Mamić you gypsy'', and similar vulgarities to which we Ivana Simić Bodrožić th Ivan Zvonimir Čičak are used to at our stadiums. In 18 minute the first flare was thrown onto the pitch. In th th Dushako Delmatho 74 minute another was thrown in, but it immediately went out by itself. In 76 minute Nenad Fabijanić a fresh flare was thrown into the field, and in the stand a number of flares and smoke Davor Huić Dubravka Kocijan- grenades were lit up. Police intervened and used force to disperse most of the ''fans'', Hercigonja while quenching smoke bombs and flares. Each time a flare was dropped in the field, Miljenko Mesić the announcer warned the game could be stopped. Almira Osmanović Mijo Pavić Igor Peternel Match: – Zadar 2:0 – Saturday 20.10.2012 Vlatko Silobrčić The match in Osijek was played in front of about 2000 spectators, amidst normal Gordana Simonović Jusuf Šehanović cheering until the penultimate minute of added time, when the east grandstands Zvonimir Šikić chanted'' HNS faggots, you f***ed up football''. Mišo Virag NK Osijek fans group, ''Kohorta'', boycotted the match, but in the southeastern Ivica Vrkić Daniel Žderić grandstand placed a large banner that read: ''You have betrayed the club and the fans, and the Serbs are playing brothers''. There are two reasons our observers found out in Osijek. The first is that fans dislike the fact that Osijek played with the Serbian club Vojvodina, whose supporters reportedly glorified war criminals and burnt Croatian flags. Another explanation is that by an alleged agreement between the two clubs the visiting fans were not admitted to the friendly match in Novi Sad, FK Vojvodina hosting NK Osijek, and that the Serbian club denied hospitality, even though the fans from Osijek duly reported their arrival and received approval.

Match: Rijeka – Split 2:3 – Saturday 20.10.2012 4500 spectators at Kantrida Stadium. In 15th minute the home fans jumped and shouted, the same they repeated in 51th, then in 90th minute: ''Whoever is not jumping is Dalmatian'', followed by ''Tovar cu**s'' to the fans and players of RNK Split. In 19th minute Armada whistle to the dark-skinned player Belle when taking corner kick; then

Yet another ''Tovar cu**s'', for farewell.

Match: Hajduk – Istra 1961 1:4 – Sunday 21.10. 2012 Around 20 thousand spectators at Poljud. The match passed mostly within a fair atmosphere, through the whole hour of game. The only thing that disrupted the normal flow of the match was flares on the northern grandstand at 8th, 10th, 21st, 25th, and 30th minute, none of which ended up on tartan track. In 60th minute the whole north grandstand ''blazed'' with a number of flares, two smoke bombs and a ''cannon blast'' on top of it. The referee stopped the game for 4 minutes because of smoke over the pitch. After this, Torcida chanted to the mayor of Split: ''Kerum (Željko Kerum, the city mayor) you Turk, s*** up that big co**'', and the same to the coach of Team Croatia, Igor Štimac. For the end, all was ''garnished'' with ''HNS faggots, you f***ed up football''. When leaving, the part of the audience in the west stand close to the ground spit at Istra 1961 coach Igor Pamić, amid whistles of the rest of the stands to the coach who got a red card.
