Thetford Academy students have myriad opportunities to Mass. College of Art & Design engage in extended learning on and off campus. McGill University - Environmental Studies and Outdoor Education, a half- day interdisciplinary course, takes place on Thetford Culinary Institute Academy’s campus and in the surrounding forests (10th- New England School of Hair Design 12th). New York University Northern VT University-Johnson - Work Based Learning provides the opportunity for students to earn high school credit while working at local Old Dominion University businesses (11th-12th). Pace University, New York City Plymouth State University - Challenge Courses allow students to create their own class on a topic of interest (9th-12th). Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Sarah Lawrence University - Technical education programs at local career and Seton Hall University technical centers prepare students for careers and future training (11th-12th). Smith College Southern Maine Community College - Our STEM internship with local corporate partners Southern New Hampshire University Fujifilm Dimatix and Hypertherm gives students hands-on St. Lawrence University experience in all aspects of business including engineering, Stony Brook University marketing, safety, and research and development (11th- Susquehanna University 12th). Tulane University University of Colorado at Boulder - College level courses at Dartmouth College and the University of Delaware are available to Thetford Academy University of Maine-Farmington students at no cost (11th-12th).
