Dialogue 1: Hedwig Fijen and Paul Domela on why the 20th anniversary of Manifesta will be held at the State Hermitage Museum.

Hedwig Fijen and Paul Domela will discuss the potential public reactions to Manifesta 10 being shown within the historical context of a museum and how contemporary art practices can work within this context.

Dialogue 2: Lecture by Victor Misiano: 8 arguments in favour of the Biennial, and 8½ against.

In his lecture, Victor Misiano will talk about the format of the Biennial exhibition as it exists within its socio-cultural, political and economic contexts. He will also review the long-term discussions on this topic.

Victor Misiano - Curator, Editor in Chief of ‘Art Journal’, Curator of the Russian Pavilion at the Venice in 1995 and 2003, Chairman of the International Foundation Manifesta, Founder and First Editor of the international edition of the ‘Manifesta Journal’ on curatorial theories and practices.

Dialogue 3: Kasper König and Dimitri Ozerkov on Manifesta 10’s curatorial strategy

Dimitri Ozerkov poses questions to the curator of Manifesta 10, Kasper König, about the strategy for the Biennial exhibition that he is preparing for the State Hermitage Museum.

Kasper König – the Curator of the Manifesta 10 Biennial, a former Director of the Museum Ludwig in Cologne, and co-initiator of the Skulptur Projekte Münster, 1977.

Dimitri Ozerkov – Commissar of Manifesta 10, Head of Contemporary Art for the State Hermitage Museum, Head of the "Hermitage 20/21".

Dialogue 4: Cultural Project of the Year: the Manifesta 10 Biennial

St. Petersburg presents one of the most high-profile Russian museum projects of 2014 – Manifesta, the European Biennial of Contemporary Art, for its 20th anniversary edition. The main venue for Manifesta 10 will be the State Hermitage Museum, coinciding with its 250th anniversary celebrations.

Moderator: Mikhail Piotrovsky, Director of the State Hermitage Museum.
