Arizona (16-9, 8-7 Pac-10) on Friday (Nov. 19) at 7 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena. ASU is coming off a Sept. 3 vs. FIU W, 3-1 weekend split against the Washington schools and has won two of its last three matches. With five wins Sept. 4 vs. Toledo L, 3-0 in Pac-10 play and 10 overall, the Sun Devils have already surpassed its total amount of wins overall (9) and in league play (4) from last season. After playing six of their last eight matches on the road, the Sun Sept. 4 at New Hampshire W, 3-1 Devils return home to play their final three matches of the 2004 season. Again: Sept. 18 vs. CS Fullerton W, 3-2 Freshman libero Sydney Donahue wasted little time etching her name in the Arizona State record books. Twice this season Donahue has set the mark for the best defensive performance in ASU freshman Sept. 23 at California (#16) L, 3-1 history. With 4.52 digs per game, she is also on pace to break the ASU freshman record of 3.62 dpg set Sept. 24 at Stanford (#12) L, 3-0 by Jami Coughlin in 1998. Donahue set the single-match freshman record when she recorded 27 digs in Oct. 1 USC (#3) L, 3-0 the four-game win over New Hampshire (9/4) and then improved that mark with 30 digs against Oregon Oct. 2 UCLA (#10) L, 3-0 State (11/4). Donahue is one of only six players in ASU history to record 30 or more digs.
