64 BAB IV HASIL DAN PEMBAHASAN A. Hasil Penelitian Tahap I Penelitian Identifikasi Morfologi Tumbuhan Jenis Pohon Ini Dilakukan BAB IV HASIL DAN PEMBAHASAN A. Hasil Penelitian Tahap I Penelitian identifikasi morfologi tumbuhan jenis pohon ini dilakukan langsung di habitatnya mulai bulan November – Desember 2020. Jenis tumbuhan yang diambil yaitu tumbuhan jenis pohon yang terdapat di kawasan Kampus zona Prodi Sarjana IAIN Tulungagung. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut dihasilkan data yaitu sebagai berikut: 1. Keanekaragaman Tumbuhan Jenis Pohon Tumbuhan yang telah ditemukan dan teridentifikasi morfologinya merupakan keseluruhan tumbuhan jenis pohon yang berada di kawasan Kampus zona Prodi Sarjana IAIN Tulungagung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 24 jenis pohon yang tergolong kedalam 13 famili. Famili-famili tersebut yaitu famili Anacardiaceae, Apocinaceae, Arecaceae, Combretaceae, Cupresaceae, Fabaceae, Gnetaceae, Lamiaceae, Lecythidaceae, Malvaceae, Moraceae, Sapindaceae, Sapotaceae. Tumbuhan jenis pohon yang telah ditemukan selanjutnya diidentifikasi berdasarkan ciri morfologi yang tampak. Spesies : Mangifera indica L. Pengamatan pohon mangga dilakukan pada tanggal 15 Desember 2020, dengan pengambilan sampel yang berada di timur Gedung Arif Mustakim. Pada saat pengamatan pohon mangga, morfologi yang didapatkan yaitu morfologi akar, batang, daun, dan buah. Bunga pohon mangga tidak dapat dilihat secara morfologi karena pada saat pengamatan bunga pohon mangga belum berbunga. Pribadi) sulit ditentukan. Pohon mangga memiliki kulit batang yang tebal dan kasar serta terdapat banyak celah-celah kecil dan sisik-sisik bekas tangkai daun. Kulit batang pohon mangga yang sudah tua umumnya berwarna coklat keabu-abuan, kelabu tua, sampai hampir hitam. Pohon mangga yang berasal dari biji umumnya memiliki batang yang tegak, kuat, dan tinggi. Sedangkan pohon mangga yang berasal dari cangkok umumnya memiliki batang yang pendek dan membentang.60 c) Morfologi Daun Pohon Mangga (Mangifera indica L.) Pribadi) helaian daun saja, bentuk helaian daunnya memanjang dengan tepi daun rata (integer), memiliki pangkal daun runcing dan ujung daunnya meruncing, permukaan daun pohon mangga yaitu licin mengkilap dengan tulang daun menyirip, urat daun yang mencapai tepi daun, dan tekstur daunnya tebal. Pada tangkai daun terdapat bagian yang menempel pada batang yang disebut sebagai pangkal tangkai daun. Pohon mangga hanya mempunyai satu daun pada tangkainya sehingga disebut sebagai daun tunggal. Warna daun pohon mangga yang masih muda yaitu kemerahan, dan permukaan daun bagian bawah berwarna hijau muda.61 d) Morfologi Bunga Pohon Mangga (Mangifera indica L.) Bunga pohon mangga termasuk kedalam bunga sempurna dan termasuk kedalam bunga majemuk tak terbatas. Dari setiap rangkaian bunga, terdapat bunga jantan dan bunga betina (berkelamin ganda yaitu jantan dan betina). Buah dari pohon mangga terdapat pada tangkai pucuk-pucuk daun, memiliki biji yang besar dan mempunyai banyak variasi bentuk maupun ukurannya. Pada saat pengamatan pohon pulai morfologi yang didapatkan yaitu batang dan daun. Akar, bunga, dan buah pohon pulai tidak dapat dilihat secara morfologi karena pada saat pengamatan akar pohon pulai tidak terlihat, bunganya belum berbunga dan buahnya belum berbuah. Za vsako vrsto smo prikazali posodobljeno nomenklaturo, kratek opis, splošno in nacionalno razširjenost. Livistona chinensis in Phoenix theophrasti sta prvič zabeleženi v severni Afriki. Predstavili smo tudi določevalne ključe.     GROWING Saribus rotundifolius IN PALM BEACH COUNTY Submitted by Charlie Beck Saribus rotundifolius was first described and named Corypha rotundifolia in 1786. Since that time it was renamed many times. Throughout the years the genus was changed from Corypha to Licuala, Livistona, Chamaerops, back to Livistona (five different species), and then in 2011 was renamed Saribus rotundifolius which is its current classification. The genus Saribus was resurrected to include 8 former Livistona species and Pritchardiopsis jeanneneyi. The reclassification was based on molecular and morphological data such as differences in inflorescences, epidermis cells and fibers. What amazes me the most is that Saribus is more closely related to Pholidocarpus, Licuala and Johannesteijsmannia than to the remaining species of Livistona. Saribus rotundifolius is considered a variable species with a wide distribution throughout Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Its conservation status is “least concern.” It is found at elevations of 0-1,000 feet. Native habitat straddles the equator ranging from 18°N to 10°S. Annual rainfall can be as high as 160 inches. That’s 2-1/2 times the average annual rainfall in West Palm Beach. S. rotundifolius is usually found in wet locations including swamp forest, mangrove margins, rainforest, and along river courses. S. rotundifolius is a solitary palm. In habitat they can emerge from the forest canopy and reach heights up to 150 feet. There’s little chance of it growing that tall in Palm Beach County. This is a medium sized palm not much larger than the common Chinese Fan Palm, Livistona chinensis. S. rotundifolius has large round costapalmate fronds that can measure up to 7’ across.

The Islands and waters have been known as the most diverse ecosystems on Earth. Despite it being a biologically very rich area, little is known about the Islands’ plant diversity. In order to provide important baseline data for conserving the Islands’ biodiversity sustainably, an expedition team from Bogor Botanic Gardens had conducted floral collecting trips to Waigeo Island, Salawati Island and Sorong Nature Park. The aims of the expeditions were to collect priority plant species, particularly those of conservation value, and to describe their habitat characteristics in order to understand their ecological preferences for ex situ conservation purposes. The exploration and inventory methods used were a combination of random and purposive searchings. Different directions (aspects) were covered in order to comprehensively study the observed forest areas. A total of 719 plant records were collected from the three conservation areas; five species of which are endemic to Waigeo (Guioa waigeoensis, Alstonia beatricis, Calophyllum parvifolium, Schefflera apiculata and Nepenthes danseri) and all have been regarded as threatened by the IUCN. Sixty one of these species are endemic to New Guinea, while 100 species have been determined as new collections for the Indonesian Botanic Gardens.     Livistona chinensis Chinese fan palm Arecaceae Forest Starr, Kim Starr, and Lloyd Loope United States Geological Survey--Biological Resources Division Haleakala Field Station, Maui, Hawai'i January, 2003 OVERVIEW Livistona chinensis is a single stemmed fan palm native to Japan and China that is cultivated worldwide in tropical and temperate climates. L. chinensis has escaped from cultivation and is sparingly naturalized in at least Florida and Hawai'i (Butts 1959, FLEPPC 1999, Wagner et al. 1999). On Maui, L. chinensis is commonly cultivated in residential areas and is naturalized near Iao, West Maui and from Ha'iku to Hana, East Maui. L. chinensis spreads from initial plantings to nearby areas and is especially prolific in moist windward areas where numerous seedlings are often observed in ditches, water ways, stream beds, gulches, and shady understory of disturbed secondary forests. Control of this ornamental palm on Maui is probably not feasible due to the widespread distribution. Perhaps it could be discouraged from being further planted in moist areas and controlled if it were detected in natural areas. TAXONOMY Family: Arecaceae (Palm family) (Wagner et al. 1999). Latin name: Livistona chinensis (Jacq.) R. Br. ex Mart (Wagner et al. 1999). Synonyms: Latania chinensis Jacq., Latania borbonica, Livistona oliviformis (Hassk.) Mart., Saribus oliviformis Hassk. (Jones, 1995, Wagner et al. 1999). Common names: Chinese fan palm, fountain palm (Jones 1995, Wagner et al. 1999). Taxonomic notes: Livistona is a genus in the palm family made up of about 30 species native to Australia, Malaya, New Guinea, and the Asian mainland (Wagner et al. 1999). The genus Wissmannia is now included in Livistona.
