King George County Sheriff’s Office Crime Prevention Unit Weekly Crime Report October 25 to October 31, 2020 * 997 Calls Received* This report does not include all incidents that were reported DELTA ZONE 12000 Block of Great Eastern Way Property Damage 10-25-2020 Complainant advised that someone damaged his political signs. Under Investigation. Murphy Express Suspicious Person 10-29-2020 Complainant advised of a suspicious person carrying a tarp walking towards the Tobacco Hut. Subject was located and was from Caroline County. Deputy transported the subject to Caroline. 10000 Block of Tetotum Road Scam 10-29-2020 Complainant advised that he received a call stating his information was used for an unauthorized pur- chase. Complainant became suspicious when he noticed the strange phone number. Deputy informed the complainant not to give out any personal information. No money was lost. 14000 Block of Hillcrest Drive Loud Noise 10-31-2020 Complainant advised of loud noise in the area. Deputy arrived and was unable to locate any loud noise in the area. SIERRA ZONE Comorn/Igo Road Illegal Dumping 10-27-2020 Complainant advised of someone dumping a large amount of trash on the edge of the parking lot. Deputy was able to locate some mail in the trash and made contact with the subject. Kings Highway/Walnut Drive Suspicious Activity 10-29-2020 Complainant advised of seeing a group of juveniles standing on the side of the road looking over the overpass down to the creek. Deputy arrived in the area and the juveniles were gone. Deputy checked the creek and nothing found. 10000 Block of Lewis Lane Suspicious Activity 10-29-2020 Complainant advised of someone knocking on their door. All doors are locked. Deputy arrived in the area and checked the perimeter of the house. Deputy was unable to locate any signs of tampering of the property. KILO ZONE 16000 Block of Ridge Road Larceny 10-26-2020 Complainant advised that someone stole her political signs. Complainant also advised that her neigh- bor’s signs were stolen too. Under investigation. 14000 Block of Ridge Road Shots Fired 10-27-2020 Complainant advised of hearing shots fired in the area. Deputy arrived in the area and checked sur- rounding areas but was unable to locate anyone or hear any shooting in the area. 13000 Block of Kings Mill Drive Suspicious Person 10-27-2020 Complainant advised that she saw a young male running towards the dumpsters as if he was being chased. Complainant is not familiar with the subject. Deputy arrived in the area and checked the dump- sters and surrounding area. The male subject was not located. 11000 Block of Circle Loop Trespassing 10-28-2020 Complainant advised of an on-going issue with juveniles on golf carts using the private road. Deputy located the juvenile driving and advised them not to use the private road. 15000 Block of Kings Highway Suspicious Activity 10-29-2020 Complainant advised of hearing someone jiggling the door knob. Complainant does not see any vehi- cles in the driveway. Deputy arrived in the area and was unable to locate any suspects. Complainant was told to call back if she sees or hears anything. 13000 Block of Round Hill Road Suspicious Vehicle 10-29-2020 Complainant advised of two vehicles that keeps pulling into her driveway 3-4 times. Deputy arrived in the area and was unable to locate the vehicle. 9000 Block of Kings Highway Suspicious Vehicle 10-29-2020 Complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle in front of her house. Complainant advised she confronted the vehicle which caused the vehicle to leave the area. Deputy checked the surrounding areas and was unable to locate the vehicle. 16000 Block of Nanzatico Lane Suspicious Vehicle 10-31-2020 Complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle driving up with driveway with no lights on. Complainant noted that the same vehicle is doing the same thing at his neighbors. There was no description of the vehicle. Deputy arrived in the area and was unable to locate the vehicle. *Calls received have an accelerated increase of CDP’s (Crime Deterrent Patrols) during the COVID-19 period.* Please remember to remove any valuables from your vehicle and keep your vehicles locked. .
