Early College Academy at Cecil College Quick Facts Early College Academy Description The Early College Academy, located at Cecil College, enrolls students beginning in grade 9. Successful students will complete high school with a high school diploma (or its equivalent) and an associate degree from Cecil College. Each year up to 25 students are selected for admission to the Academy. Prior to their freshman year, Academy students will participate in an orientation program to introduce them to academic expectations and resources available to them during their four years in the Academy. Throughout their enrollment, students are supported by tutors and advisors from Cecil College. While taking classes, students are guided through seminars and individualized advising to help them build the academic skills needed to succeed in high school and college coursework. Admission Process Each student entering the Early College Academy must complete the admissions process. By July 15th, eighth grade students must complete and submit application materials to the Early College Academy Coordinator. Application materials are reviewed and evaluated by administrators from Cecil College.
