Ferrovial awarded contract to build control tower at the new Lima airport

• This is Ferrovial's first contract in Peru • The project includes a power regulation and switching station, a fire-fighting unit and a fauna control unit • Ferrovial has broad experience with similar projects, such as the control towers at Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport and Chopin Airport in Warsaw.

Madrid, 29/05/2020 – The consortium formed by Ferrovial Construction, Acciona and local construction Corporate company JJC has been selected by LAP (Lima Airport Partners), the Peruvian airport operator, to build the Communications control tower at Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima and six ancillary buildings, all of them located newsroom.ferrovial.com in Lima, Peru. @ferrovial

The project, which is part of Lima airport's expansion plan, comprises a control tower, a services building to José Luis Cobas support the control tower, and a power switching and transformer building, which will also house the +34 915 866 314 beacon system. The contract covers all the civil and electromechanical engineering for the tower and its ancillary facilities, as well as all the building's systems, services and installations. However, it does not include specialized communications, navigation and air traffic control systems.

The project strengthens Ferrovial's focus on Peru in a category in which it has extensive experience. Specifically, the company built the control towers at Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport in Madrid, El Prat Airport in Barcelona and Chopin Airport in Warsaw, Poland, among others.
