“I YOU, LORD, MY STRENGTH” Today, in the of Mark, we hear a scholar of the law asking , “Which is the first of all the commandments?” This question allows Jesus to affirm that love of God and love of our neighbor as self forms one Great Commandment. Each element of – love of God, neighbor, and self – is of equal value and importance. To discover the beauty and balance of this Great Commandment is truly a challenge. The grace of God shared by Jesus allows each of us to form the decisions and actions of our lives on the foundation of this Great Commandment. Jesus invites us to confidently respond to his invitation and be strengthened by his gifts of grace as we follow his example of love of God, neighbor, and self. May the graces of God always fashion and form our daily response to the invitation to love with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. May God – Father, Son, – abundantly bless you and your families in this coming week! In , Fr. Ted Prentice, Pastor
