I would like to personally invite you, your October 9 - 18, 2012 relatives and friends to join me on a pilgrimage Led by Fr. Daniel Francis, C.Ss.R. in the footsteps of Redemptorist Saints Gerard Majella and Alphonsus Liguori. Our pilgrimage begins in Naples, the birthplace of the founder of the Redemptorists, St. Alphonsus. From Naples, we’ll enjoy the beauty of the Amalfi Coast, including a visit to Scala, which witnessed the beginnings of the Redemptorist order. We’ll also spend time in Materdomini where one of the Congregations’ first houses was built, and where St. Gerard Majella, the patron saint of expectant mothers, lived and died. We will have the privilege of celebrating Mass at the tomb of St. Gerard just a few days before his feast day on October 16. After Naples and a stop at the famous Montecassino Abbey, we travel to Rome. Our time there will include a tour of the Vatican Museum, a papal audience, and Mass in front of the original of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. We also will spend a day visiting Assisi, a site made special by two other famous saints, Francis and Clare. Please join me and your fellow pilgrims as we travel the beau- tiful countryside, retrace the steps of Sts. Gerard and a remarkable bird's-eye view of Positano, which commands Alphonsus, and explore the Eternal City of Rome. As we cele- a beautiful view of the Gulf of Naples.
