HOLIDAYS Th Th in DECEMBER 8 - 9 the HILLS Noon to 5PM SATURDAY & SUNDAY HOLIDAYS tH tH IN DECEMBER 8 - 9 THE HILLS Noon TO 5PM Bear River Winery: Meadow Vista will have assorted cheese, chocolates and cookies, and the winery will be decorated for the Holidays. We’ll have many new releases for you to try. Bear River Winery: Historic Old Town Auburn Tasting Room will be decorated for the Holidays and be serving assorted chocolates and cookies. We’ll have a selection of our new releases for you to choose from as well as other cute/awesome wine gifts and supplies. Bonitata will have year end close out specials with Wines starting at $10 per bottle and $89 per cases. Also sparking wines 3 flavors on special. Buy any two white or red wine and get the third for $1.00.Specials now through January. For food we will have small bites. Cante Ao Vinho: Celebrating the season by pouring several crowd favorite reds and sparkling whites. Shop the farm fresh pestos and handmade bread for the special ones on your Christmas list while sipping on a warm glass of mulled wine. Saturday evening stay for live music by Hans Anderson and Billy Williams on Sunday afternoon. Casque Wines will be decked for the holidays! We will be releasing our 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon and serving up Kevin’s Fabulous Mulled Wine all weekend long. Saturday we have Wheyward Girl Creamery sampling and selling tasty cheeses and on Sunday you can pickup fresh baked, Real Bread from Carife Ravioli Co. (Preorders are preferred! To place one, text the baker—J.P. at 530.613.3426). Guests can also enjoy holiday specials from The Flower Farm cafe on our patio and shop unique holiday gifts and Christmas trees at the Nursery and Giftshop! Firepits will be lit weather permitting. Ciotti will be decked out for Christmas Italian Style… offering wine discounts, gift packages, fire pits roaring and Tuscan soup for you to cozy up with you loved ones as you enjoy our award winning wines. Rumor has it that Santa may make an appearance in the Tasting Room so get your cameras ready!! Dono dal Cielo: Santa’s Coming! I know him! I know him! Dono dal Cielo will be decked out for the holidays. Santa will be taking time out of his busy schedule to join us from 1:30-4:30pm both days. He can’t wait to hear if you’ve been naughty or nice. Olive oil sampling from local farm Baroness Olive Oil. Fun t-shirts for moms & kids by RagTine Clothing. We will also have a hot cocoa bar…Yum! Dora Dain Wines: come meet the newest addition to the Placer Wine Trail! This event will be this new winery’s first time open to the general public for tasting and one of only a few opportunities to taste without an appointment. Take some holiday photos at the farm truck-and iconic “Ole Blue” – she’ll be all decorated with plenty of holiday spirit. Tasting will be outdoors under an ezup tent and simple snacks will be available. Lone Buffalo will have holiday decorations fit for cowboys & kings, new releases including our newest collaboration wine with Placer Land Trust, 2016 Dogface Cabernet Sauvignon and a our popular new blend 2017 Crazy Horse (Tempranillo, Syrah, Malbec), live music by Karl & Karlina & food trucks both days (Sat: Smoker's Wild, Sun: Hot Mama's), vendors (Ternero Olive Oil, Ttouchstone by Swarovski, Holiday Cork Items and more!) and a special sale on select wines ($60 White, Pink & Red 3 Pack, plus buy any one bottle at regular price and get 50% off 2018 Buffalo Rose Sangiovese Rose) and special pricing on holiday gift boxes.     Carol's Bunch NOVEMBER 2014 to our faithful ‘Bunch! We are so pleased to be finished with our crazy Happy Holidays... Crush season EARLY this year, so we can focus all the more on what we do best —making super delicious wines and getting them out the door to you! This year’s harvest was the earliest and most “compressed” one that Carol has ever seen in her 38 years of winemaking. It started with early budbreak back in March, probably a bit due to the extremely dry winter you have all heard about. Then bloom and crop-set all happened with very few hitches, and we had a nice long growing season with a very warm but not horribly HOT summer, a tiny shower in mid-September (when we already had half the grapes Lingenfelder Zin ready to harvest in!) followed by a beautiful Indian Summer which dried out the remaining vineyards and pushed everything thru to a nice ripe finish. Very tasty fruit, indeed, and a moderate crop size made for rich, concentrated flavors, just the way we like to taste ‘em! GET YOUR RED HOT NEWS! We have some extremely exciting NEWS to report!! We are now the owners of a beautiful Dry Creek vineyard, 22 acres with 16 planted to…not Zinfandel, but Chardonnay! We saw that as a rather major faux pas—the primary obligation of a grape in Dry Creek Valley is to be Zin, right? Or at least red?? However, visionary partner Mitch saw an opportunity to satisfy the need for a white partner wine to our wildly popular Wild Thing Zin.

Bonitata: We will be featuring blends that weekend and a sparkling wine tasting flight of pomegranate, strawberry and peach mango. We will have specials of up to 40% off certain wines. For a snack we will be serving authentic Chinese egg rolls. Cante Ao Vinho: Cante will be highlighting the winemaker’s favorite varietals that originated from different regions of the world. Verdejo from Spain, Petite Sirah from France, Barbera from Italy and Tinto Cao from Portugal. Simple appetizers will be paired with each varietal. Enjoy a globetrotting wine and food tasting tour from the comforts of Rocklin’s historical Barudoni Building.
