    Lotta decisa contro l'impunità per i crimini commessi in Siria di Ministri degli Esteri di diciotto Paesi dell'Unione Europea in “Avvenire” del 31 marzo 2021 Il regime ha usato armi chimiche contro il suo stesso popolo. La Ue non resterà in silenzio di fronte alle atrocità compiute, comprese quelle commesse dal Daesh. Dieci anni fa, milioni di siriani sono scesi per le strade di Dara’a, Aleppo e Damasco, invocando la democrazia e il rispetto dei diritti e delle libertà fondamentali. La brutale risposta del regime ha innescato, nell’arco di un decennio, una delle azioni criminali e delle crisi umanitarie più gravi dalla Seconda guerra mondiale, provocando oltre 400mila morti e infinite violazioni dei diritti umani. Più della metà della popolazione siriana ha dovuto lasciare le proprie case e più di 6 milioni di siriani sono fuggiti dal proprio Paese per scampare alle atrocità del regime. Decine di migliaia di persone sono state fatte sparire con la forza senza che le loro famiglie sapessero nulla sulla loro sorte o su dove si trovassero. Il regime siriano ha usato ripetutamente armi chimiche contro il suo stesso popolo, come hanno dimostrato al di là di ogni dubbio le Nazioni Unite (Onu) e l’Organizzazione per la proibizione delle armi chimiche (Opcw). Il regime ha sempre rifiutato di fornire spiegazioni ai team internazionali di inchiesta. Ma i sopravvissuti agli attacchi sono qui per testimoniare ciò che hanno visto e sofferto. Non resteremo in silenzio di fronte alle atrocità avvenute in Siria, per le quali il regime e i suoi fiancheggiatori esterni sono i principali responsabili.

No obstante, se observan ciertos avances que suponen una intensificación de la agenda. En este sentido, podemos destacar, por ejemplo, la celebración en marzo en Andorra de la Cumbre Iberoamericana de Jefes de Estado y de Gobierno y que ha incluido la visita de los reyes al Principado, siendo el primer viaje de Estado que han realizado después de su visita a la Isla de Cuba hace más de un año. Asimismo, el presidente del Gobierno, Pedro Sánchez, también ha impulsado una actividad exterior más ambiciosa con una gira por África en el contexto del lanzamiento del Foco África 2023, que le ha llevado a Angola y Senegal. Asimismo, cabe destacar también que, al final del semestre, en el mes de mayo, las relaciones con Marruecos se han tensado de una forma inusitada tras la entrada de manera irregular de 8.000 personas en la Ciudad Autónoma de Ceuta, ante lo que se han desplegado las Fuerzas y Cuerpos de Seguridad del Estado.
