  • Monument Hires Luke Jensen to Lead Promotion Team: Who Is This Guy? Monument Records’ Luke Jensen Is Not an Ex-Professional Tennis Player Turned ESPN Analyst
2021 JULY 12 CountryInsider.com | Sign Up For Daily Email Here Monument Hires Luke Jensen To Lead Promotion Team: Who Is This Guy? Monument Records’ Luke Jensen is not an ex-professional tennis player turned ESPN analyst. Nor is he a former Confederate soldier who now plies his trade as a bounty hunter. Instead, he’s a former radio guy with almost 20 years of experience as a programmer and on-air host to go with a decade as a promotion man. Now, he’s Monument’s VP of promotion, succeeding Drew Bland. Having the same name as tennis player Luke Jensen helped him meet Dave Matthews once, though. And he has the cover art of Western writer William W. Johnstone’s “Luke Jensen Bounty Hunter” novel hanging in his bathroom. • Summer 2021 | Commemorative Program Welcome
Summer 2021 | Commemorative Program Welcome The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Leadership Foundation and the National Association of Broadcasters welcome you to the 2021 Celebration of Service to America Awards. Every day, local radio and television stations provide a critical public service by delivering essential news, weather and entertainment their communities rely on every day, as well as a lifeline during times of crisis. When the mics and cameras turn off, these stations continue their good work through charitable efforts and service to their communities. This year was no exception as our finalists devoted 3,528 hours of airtime to public service and addressed the unique challenges of COVID-19 within their communities. In total, more than $43,440,000 worth of funds and donations were raised to support local charities across the country to help fight hunger, fill gaps in education and provide support to local businesses and charities. The importance and impact of broadcasting has never been greater. While we cannot celebrate in person this year, we are thankful for the support of our broadcasting community and Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution as we recognize the work and share the stories of our fellow broadcasters. We are honored that the 23rd annual Celebration of Service to America Awards will once again be broadcast across the country by local radio and television stations as a special one-hour awards ceremony featuring celebrity guests, past honorees and policymakers beginning July 10 through August 14. Emmy award-winning host Tamron Hall and other celebrity guests will honor local radio and television stations and community leaders like Lin-Manuel Miranda for their unwavering commitment to the communities they serve.

Federal Communications Commission FCC 00-169 Before the Federal Communications Commission Washington, D.C. 20554 In the Matter of ) ) Amendment of Section 73.202(b), ) MM Docket No. 94-78 Table of Allotments, ) RM-8472 FM Broadcast Stations. ) RM-8525 (Cloverdale, Montgomery ) and Warrior, Alabama) ) MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER (Proceeding Terminated) Adopted: May 12, 2000 Released: June 14, 2000 By the Commission: 1. The Commission has before it an Application for Review filed by William P. Rogers ("Rogers") directed to the staff Memorandum Opinion and Order in this proceeding. 12 FCC Rcd 2090 (1997). Deep South Broadcasting Company ("Deep South"), the licensee of Station WBAM-FM, Channel 255C1, Montgomery, Alabama, and North Jefferson Broadcasting Company, Inc., a 50 percent owner of WBHK, LLC, which was the former licensee of Station WBHK(FM),1 Channel 254C1, Warrior, Alabama (jointly referred to as "WBHK/WBAM") filed an Opposition to Rogers' Application for Review. Rogers filed a Reply to WBHK/WBAM's Opposition and a Supplement to his Reply. For the reasons discussed below, we deny the Application for Review. 2. Background. At the request of Pulaski Broadcasting, Inc. (“Pulaski”), the Notice of Proposed Rule Making (“Notice”) in this proceeding proposed the allotment of FM Channel 254A to Cloverdale, Alabama as its first local aural transmission service. 9 FCC Rcd 3311 (1994).2 In response to the Notice, both WBHK/WBAM and Rogers filed counterproposals. In his counterproposal, Rogers requested the allotment of Channel 254A to Florence, Alabama, as its third local FM service. The Report and Order granted the joint counterproposal filed by WBHK/WBAM by upgrading Station WBHK (formerly, Station WLBI), Warrior, to specify operation on Channel 254C1, and downgrading Station WBAM-FM, Montgomery, to specify operation on Channel 255C1.
