Bat size will comply with IESA bat regulations Current IESA Baseball Bat Standards Any non-wood bat that has a barrel diameter greater than 2 5/8 inches is illegal. All non-wood bats must meet the following NFHS standards: a maximum barrel diameter of 2 5/8 inches; maximum length of 36 inches, a Ball Exit Speed Ratio (BESR) silkscreen label on the bat; and in weight, the bat shall not weigh, numerically, more than three ounces less than the length of the bat (e.g., a 31-inch-long bat cannot be less than 28 ounces). Non-wood bats 30 inches and under in length which have a greater than three ounce weight vs. length differential may be used provided the barrel diameter does not exceed 2 1/4 inches (e.g., a 29-inch-long bat may weigh 20 ounces and is legal provided the barrel diameter does not exceed 2 1/4 inches). The BESR label is not required on this type of bat. Wood bats that are manufactured in accordance with National Federation rules may be used. All innings must be consecutive. No player shall sit out a second time until all of the players on his team have sat out one time. No player shall sit out a second time until all of the players on his team have sat out a second time. Each team will bat its entire roster in their line-up. The line-up cannot change during the game. Any player that shows up after the start of the game must be placed at the very end of the batting order. Please give the opposition your batting line-up prior to the start of the game. Any team that cannot field a team of nine players is permitted to pick up a player from another league team; however, that pick-up player must bat last in the line-up and play only the outfield. If a team has less than 8 players they will take an “out” when the missing player would normally bat. A team may use up to three “pick-up” players and bat up to ten players. The home (site) team will provide “game” balls. Each coach will make every effort to keep the speed of the game moving. The 10-run rule is in effect after 4.5 innings. The 15-run rule is in effect after 3.5 innings. 7 inning game. No inning will start 1 hour and 45 minutes after the scheduled start of the game. Please talk with your umpires before the game starts to make sure everyone is aware of the time deadline. .
