Distracted, delusional and a total klutz, she is both eminently likeable and an embarrassment to the force. But Johanna has a dream and she spends all her spare time training to make it come true – she wants to be the first woman to join France’s elite police unit, RAID (the French equivalent of SWAT). As fate and politics would have it, Johanna soon finds herself in RAID’s training program, under the most misogynistic of the squad’s elite officers, Eugène Froissard, aka “Gene the Jinx,” (Dany Boon). This improbable tandem winds up tasked with halting the formidable Leopard Gang, responsible for a string of spectacular armed robberies in the City of Lights. But first they’ll have to find a way of working together without killing each other. © David Koskas post-production new project DIRECTOR CAST TERRITORIES AVAILABLE - WORLD EXCLUDING: Guillaume Canet Guillaume Canet Benelux, France, Switzerland Marion Cotillard SCREENPLAY screening Gilles Lellouche Guillaume Canet Fanny Ardant New promo available Philippe Lefebvre Thursday 12/05 10.00AM – Olympia 5 Philippe Lefebvre Rodolphe Lauga Yvan Attal PRODUCER Camille Rowe Alain Attal (Les Productions February 2017 du Trésor) COMEDY At age 42, actor-director Guillaume Canet has so far dodged a midlife crisis. Living with Marion Cotillard and their little boy, he feels happy and blessed, performing a finely tuned balancing act between private life, career and leisure time. But Guillaume's young and beautiful co-star on the movie he is currently shooting takes the wind out of his sails when she informs him that he is no longer "rock'n'roll." In fact, he never really was. The killer blow comes when she adds that he has fallen way down the list of "bangable" actors. Guillaume's homebody lifestyle with Marion, their son, his horses and the house in the country all contribute to give him a cornball, anything-but-sexy image. Thinking about it, the signs have been there. His body has been sending him messages. It's time to get a grip. Revamping his life and refreshing his image cannot wait a moment longer. And once the wheels are in motion, Guillaume is unstoppable. His popularity and the viral world we live in merely accelerate his disintegration. By trying to be "rock'n'roll," Guillaume succeeds only in becoming pathetic, dumb and absurd in the eyes of everyone that knows him and witnesses his social suicide. Guillaume Canet has gone off the deep end. And it's long, long way down. © Jean-Claude Lother post-production new project DIRECTOR CAST TERRITORIES AVAILABLE - WORLD EXCLUDING: Lisa Azuelos Sveva Alviti France, Italy, Switzerland Riccardo Scamarcio SCREENPLAY screening Jean-Paul Rouve Lisa Azuelos New promo available Nicolas Duvauchelle Thursday 12/05 10.00AM – Olympia 5 PRODUCERS Niels Schneider Julien Madon Patrick Timsit Lisa Azuelos Vincent Perez Alessandro Borghi January 2017 DRAMA From her birth in Cairo in 1933 to her first concert at the Olympia in Paris in 1956; from her marriage to Lucien Morisse, director of the newly emerging Europe 1 radio to the height of the disco scene; from her journey of discovery to India to the international success of Gigi L’Amoroso in 1974, DALIDA the film, is a touching and tragic portrait of an emotionally complex woman who was born to be a star. THE STRONGHOLD Directed by Cédric Jimenez INTERNATIONAL MARKETING INTERNATIONAL PUBLICITY Alba OHRESSER Margaux AUDOUIN [email protected] [email protected] 1 SYNOPSIS Marseille’s north suburbs hold the record of France’s highest crime rate. Greg, Yass and Antoine’s police brigade faces strong pressure from their bosses to improve their arrest and drug seizure stats. In this high-risk environment, where the law of the jungle reigns, it can often be hard to say who’s the hunter and who’s the prey. When assigned a high-profile operation, the team engages in a mission where moral and professional boundaries are pushed to their breaking point. 2 INTERVIEW WITH CEDRIC JIMENEZ What inspired you to make this film? In 2012, the scandal of the BAC [Anti-Crime Brigade] Nord affair broke out all over the press. It was difficult to escape it, especially for me being from Marseille. I Quickly became interested in it, especially since I know the northern neighbourhoods well having grown up there. There was such a media show that I felt the need to know what had happened. How far had these cops taken the law into their own hands? But for that, it was necessary to have access to the police and to the files. That was obviously impossible. When we decided to work together, me and Hugo [Sélignac], my producer, I always had this affair in mind. It was then that he said to me, “Wait, I know someone in Marseille who could introduce us to the real cops involved.” And that’s what happened.
